SonnyCrockettBurnett01
I know a lot of people will disagree with me when I say this, but Season 3 is my favorite season. Of course, the first two seasons were great, loved the pastel colors and the Daytona, but for some reason, I like Season 3 a lot better. Crockett's spiky haircut, his new shades (Persol 69218s), getting the Testarossa, and the dark episodes (IE: Shadow In The Dark) are great. Of course, it's painful to watch Zito get killed off (And I guarantee I'm not the only one who cries every time he dies). Other than that, it's a great season, at least to me. Early Season 3 looked great and the cinematography and filming is some of the best of the entire shows run
Administrators James Posted April 26, 2014 Administrators Report Share Posted April 26, 2014 Season 2 is my personal favourite. And season 1 is just classic. 2 > 1 > 3 > 5 > 4Season 3 is good though, you have; When Irish Eyes Are Crying, Stone's War, El Viejo, Streetwise, Down for the Count, Red Tape, Heroes of the Revolution (My favourite of the season). And you can't forget 'Shadow in the Dark' which always creeps me the F out.
Beach_Vice
It's like every season was a different "thing." Season one and two are the most similar to each other. Seasons three, four and five are each their shows in a way. Like the eighties was changing every year and the show rolled with the times. That's apparent in the music back then too. I like 'em all, some more than others.
alleycat
Another hard question been having a lot of those to answer lately. My favorite would be Season one but I really enjoyed Season Five when Burnett made his appearance we saw a different side of Sonny more diabolical and that is cool and badass and he changed with his appearance the longer hair and the jeans.A little more comfortable in his own skin I say and very sexy go crazy with that blond mane for sure and tight jeans. But on a serious note I like the acting better.Season one was learning tool and then we got deeper into the characters when season five came around of course not happy it ended but what a fantastic ride,WOW.

True some of the Season 5 episodes with the Burnett Saga were some of the best of the entire series - far removed from the "fluffiness" of Season 1 - hard , dark , cinemagraphic action Edited April 27, 2014 by Matt5
Tekka
Season 1 and 2 are good. 3 was not bad, but it wasn't as memorable.
agent 47
I used to not like Season Three a lot but after giving it another spin later last year I found it a lot better than I remembered and some of the episodes I disliked before seemed much better than I remembered them to be. I used to like Four the most but after a recent viewing I wonder what I was thinking back then so I would probably go with Season 2 as my favorite as it had a lot of episode I consider personal favorite such as Buddies, Bushido and Back in the World and it felt like it perfected the show's formula. I agree SCB01......I mainly like Sonny's cool hair style. Season 1 & 2 have a lot that really defines Miami Vice but I do enjoy episodes like El Viejo, Down for the Count 1 & 2, Lend Me an Ear, Heroes of the Revolution from Seas. 3. Vincent Hanna
Season 2 will always be considered the definitive MV, with Crockett walking down the beach whilst "Cry" is playing, or the Lamborghini chase in Bought and paid for etc. But Season 3 is pretty awesome though. Everyone still cares about the show and the characters are more mature, well sometimes anyway.. I like the no nonsense approach, get rid of the wacky stuff and do a serious crime drama, it has it's own unique style. Lots of Neon backlights, C&Ts wearing bright blues, yellows, greens And the white testerossa is awesome. People complain about it being white but have you seen the promo pictures of it black in the night? You can hardly see it. And white has always been part of the colour pallete
Noggie
Season 1 for me. I can enjoy all but maybe 1 episode. There's an energy here that later seasons lacked. Season 2 is good but pretty inconsistent. Quite a few endings where the villains wack themselves. I like season 3 a lot. Lots of good stories. The most consistent season after season 1 to me. I'm not crazy about the look but it's ok. The sharp way everything was shot early on gives way to a darker image that stayed for the remainder of the series. Season 4 I haven't watched in years. I liked some episodes a lot. I do remember watching the flashback episode & thinking how much fun the show used to be. Season 5 is another I haven't seen since it aired. I liked a handful but the whole "tired" vibe didn't appeal to me as a teen. I'm curious to watch this season now that I'm older.

You could really see the disparity in quality.

The major spike that would contradict this is my love for the episodes between Deliver Us From Evil and Redemption in Blood. But many fans would be feeling this too
Vincent Hanna
I really do love Season 3 just because it's so different. I can understand why people were upset back in the day but those fans had never seen S4 at that point so they didn't know what bad was. The stories are surprisingly consistent unlike the first 2 seasons, The different fashion choices have grown on me a lot and I love the white Testarossa. My only criticism would be that some times they strayed a little too far from "Vice". I don't think dealing with Irish terrorists is what a vice unit entails.
