Hmm that's the second time that white one has gone up for sale, I wonder if Brian would be keen on adding a second to his collection as he did like that particluar one.

what about jurrasics car, isnt it up for sale at the volo museum?

A buddy and I actually flew down to Atlanta (2 months ago) and looked at/drove JN's car. It was a great opportunity to finally meet the infamous 'JN' in person!  We had spoken on the phone a few times prior and I have always been impressed with his Miami Vice knowledge (I even read all of his posts on this forum prior to seeing him :)).

He has a good car,  but me being a 'car guy' I needed the cars interior to be more "cosmetically perfect looking".  I am aware that may be difficult to attain on a replicar but for that asking price ($40-45K at the time) the car had to be in phenomenal shape...both its interior and exterior.  It just wasn't where I needed it to be.   I was really bummed as I'd dreamed of his car for months prior.

Please do NOT let this deter other potential buyers of his car, though.  I have different needs than other buyers may have (want a 'turn key' car as I don't want to spend too much time and money at an auto body shop, etc).  If you are looking for a MV car then please do visit JN and check his car out.  It may very well fit your needs.

(BTW, a couple of weeks ago I actually thought about whether I should inquire with an auto body shop and just have them do the work that I'd l personally like to have done on JN's car.   It would involve a good chunk of my time (and money), though.  This would require me buying his car for $25K..... a price he is most likely never going to accept).

Bottom line, JN is a GREAT guy.  I was honored to finally meet him and enjoyed my trip.  A deal just didn't work for both parties involved.  That is OK.

ah, sorry I had forgotten, I am also still looking for the car that the dash is based on or taken from FYI, as I've only found ones that are close but no cigar, same thing with the door panels on both cars.

as while the 76 is a reframed one, the 81's gotta be from something else.

so unless you'd be satisified with just putting in 76 door panels and working from there, I dont think you'd ever get it a 100% perfect, as the only car that looks like the vice car, is the vice car, as car 4 is one of a kind.

as usually I find the things I'm looking for, or they show up on my door step, such as a TVR Cerberus showing up in my home town at the local bodyshop, or Sonny's Rifle from out where the busses dont run showing up in a local gunshop

I mean these things find me, and I still cant find out where his dash and door panels came from. all I can say is just try and make one yourself that makes you happy, as unless you can find the exact dash and door panels, your never gonna get it perfect.

my suggestion thus would be, buy some new 76 style door handles. recover the 76 door panels with high grade leather, put in a 76 dash, and do the same. and redo the gauges and put in a glove box on the passenger side.

although if by some miracle I do find thee car that the dash may have been taken from i will post it. but If I havent found anything by now I wouldnt hold my breath.

Yeah I think that car was discussed earlier.  I saw it yesterday on EBAY.  I hate it when they don't list a reserve price, though.   Somewhat annoying

Did we had this car once? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C584331

Nice factory built Rowley GTC with the right color for mvice8489

Pritt-

I've seen that car advertised for a long time (price seems high).  I think it may be our friend 'Arturo's'  which is why I have avoided it.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, though

I heard of that company but was not sure where they were located? You don't see many of their cars for sale? It's usually a Rowley, McBurnie or some other brands.

I actually saw a car with a complete solid rear (no trunklid) What a horrible piece of fiberglass!!!!! Don't know who made it but it had terrible lines and the panels didn't fit well either. It had a huge cut-out for the conv top???

I think its new york, I remember the ad however I think the yellow one might be this actually, just with an Alfa Romeo Door handle and a corvette as the basis, as it looks like their work.

something called an RS Daytona Spider, british from the sound of it, I mean if all it was was a body conversion, why not do this to a corvette?

The yellow car wasn't anything that I'd be interested in buying. I loved the seats, though.

I did get to meet Michael 'Stanley Switek' Talbott in person....(see attached link for details) .   He was at Volo for a meet 'n greet.    Very nice guy.....would've loved to gone out for a beer with him !!
