Glen A. Larson dies at 77.

Television producer and writer Glen A. Larson, who was responsible for some of the biggest series of the 1970s and 1980s ("Magnum, P.I."; "Battlestar Galactica"; "Knight Rider" and others great tv shows) died Friday at UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica.

 

He was 77.

 

He died of complications from esophageal cancer, said his son, James Larson.

I've recently taken a dive into the Magnum PI pool.  I'm onto Season 4 now.  What a simple but entertaining show.  I really liked the Fall Guy when I'd catch here and there back in the day.

 

And of course, Battlestar Gallactica.  It only made sense that Edward James Olmos would essentially reprise his role of Castillo on that show.  (Anyone else notice that he eats japanese food on BG?).

 

RIP, Mr. Larson.  You are already greatly missed.
