hyperdyne
New guy here, I thought persons on the forum would appreciate some tracks I have been working on for some time. The first is a remix of my favorite track Evan, I created it from the ground up. I've been a fan for a very long time. Enjoy...
vicegirl85
Nice! I am no musician, so doubt I can truly appreciate your work. But it sounds super and very much Evan, with the insistent beat in the background!
Administrators James Posted September 3, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 Not bad, pal. Not bad at all. There are a few sketchy "amateur moments", I'll call them. And then the song turns into dubstep, besides that, it's pretty well made.
hyperdyne
I'll admit I am no musician, just a fan. It's the 80's, you always need at least one 808!
Administrators James Posted September 5, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted September 5, 2015 Well, it's better than any of my attempts! What program and VST's are you using, if you don't mind me asking?
hyperdyne
I am using ableton live for the DAW. VSTs include: fabfilter, omnisphere, zebra2, izotope
Administrators James Posted September 6, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted September 6, 2015 Hmm... Interesting. I have Ableton Live also. I might check out these VST's and see what sounds I can get out of them. Hard to find some good 80s sounds.

hyperdyne
The background "dark" synth sound I made using zebra2. It's an awesome synth. Hmm... Interesting. I have Ableton Live also. I might check out these VST's and see what sounds I can get out of them. Hard to find some good 80s sounds. Jerry B.
Hi Hyperdyne, nice track you made, good sonic palette and quite faithful rendition of the original vibe. Spectrasonics' Omnisphere is one of the most powerful sonic tool on the market, same for u-he Zebra, especially the Hans Zimmer/Howie Scarr pack. Keep up the good job ;-) JB PS If you want to hear some original, made-in-the-80s, vicey music, just click on the link on my signature. hyperdyne
Thanks Jerry, I appreciate it. I just started delving into all this earlier in the year. I listened to a couple of your tracks and they are top shelf! Really cool. Man, brings me back... I am hoping to get the U-he Hans Zimmer pack, that would be a great tool. I love Omnisphere, it is a beast and absolutely amazing synth...
