Finally!  :D  :radio:

Someone posted the beautiful opening track from Bruce Hornsby and The Range's debut The Way It Is (1986) and Youtube has still not removed it yet.

I guess Bruce and The Range will always be known for The Way It Is as it is a beautiful song and all, but they did produce a hell of a lot more back in the 80s thats for sure.

Very underrated album and artist, well at least in my opinion.  :)

Yes no Michael Jackson or Bruce Springsteen / Billy Joel - maybe a bit to mainstream for the 1980s. :D  :)   :easter:  :radio:  :cake:  :fireworks:

Which is a good thing I guess. I'm not really a fan of Michael Jackson's music, my whole life I've just never really got into it. Overrated, in my opinion.Though, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" and "Billie Jean" make me feel reminiscent of GTA Vice City.

I guess this makes up for not having any of MJ's big hits xD I remember watching it for the first time with a big grin. Too good

Ok, that's just about the only song featuring MJ that I actually like.Great scene too, makes me smile every time.

yeah wouldve liked to have seen more MJ. Theres the rockwell song in the pilot where MJ sings the chorus "somebody's watching me"

Hmm never realized MJ sang backing vocals in this group until now. In retrospect, that voice was hard to copy. :p

The Incomparable Lou Gramm of Foreigner. Foreigner has never been the same without him.

"That Was Yesterday"

I thought I knew you well
But all this time I could never tell
I let you get away
Haunts me every night and every day

You were the only one
The only friend that I counted on
How could I watch you walk away
I'd give anything to have you here today

But now I stand alone with my pride
And dream that you're still by my side

But that was yesterday
I had the world in my hands
But it's not the end of my world
Just a slight change of plans

That was yesterday
But today life goes on
No more hiding in yesterday
'Cause yesterday's gone

Love, my love I gave it all
Thought I saw the light
When I heard you call
Life that we both could share
Has deserted me
Left me in despair

But now I stand alone with my pride
Fighting back the tears I never let myself cry

But that was yesterday
Love was torn from my hands
But it's not the end of my world
Just a little hard to understand

That was yesterday
But today life goes on
You won't find me in yesterday's world
Now yesterday's gone

Goodbye yesterday
Now it's over and done
Still I hope somewhere deep in your heart
Yesterday will live on

From his farewell tour, THE MAN, Phil Collins.

"Take Me Home"

Take that look of worry
I'm an ordinary man
They don't tell me nothing
So I find out what I can
There's a fire that's been burning
Right outside my door
I can't see but I feel it
And it helps to keep me warm
So I, I don't mind
No I, I don't mind

Seems so long I've been waiting
Still don't know what for
There's no point escaping
I don't worry anymore
I can't come out to find you
I don't like to go outside
They can't turn off my feelings
Like they're turning off a light
But I, I don't mind
No I, I don't mind
Oh I, I don't mind
No I, I don't mind

So take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home, oh lord
Cos I've been a prisoner all my life
And I can say to you

Take that look of worry, mine's an ordinary life
Working when it's daylight
And sleeping when it's night
I've got no far horizons
I don't wish upon a star
They don't think that I listen
Oh but I know who they are
And I, I don't mind
No I, I don't mind
Oh I, I don't mind
No I, I don't mind

So take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home
Cos I don't remember
Take, take me home, oh lord
Well I've been a prisoner all my life
And I can say to you

But I don't remember
Take, take me home...

XTC has been re-releasing some of their classic albums such as Nonsuch (1992), Skylarking (1986) this year and now recently Drums & Wires (1979) got the same treatment and I do hope English Settlement (1982) is up next.

The Chameleons was just one of many great 80s acts that never got it right when it came to reach the heights of success but has over the past years gotten a lot of praise and positive critic for the material they put out back in their heyday.

I really miss John Candy and John Hughes they were a great part of my childhood when it came to the movies and this weekend I had a fine time re-watching two of my favorite Candy/Hughes flicks, Uncle Buck and Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
