Matt5
Yes no Michael Jackson or Bruce Springsteen / Billy Joel - maybe a bit to mainstream for the 1980s.
ArtieRollins
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W__HpxCOXk8Finally! Someone posted the beautiful opening track from Bruce Hornsby and The Range's debut The Way It Is (1986) and Youtube has still not removed it yet.I guess Bruce and The Range will always be known for The Way It Is as it is a beautiful song and all, but they did produce a hell of a lot more back in the 80s thats for sure.Very underrated album and artist, well at least in my opinion.

Which is a good thing I guess. I'm not really a fan of Michael Jackson's music, my whole life I've just never really got into it. Overrated, in my opinion.Though, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" and "Billie Jean" make me feel reminiscent of GTA Vice City. I guess this makes up for not having any of MJ's big hits xD I remember watching it for the first time with a big grin. Too good

Sonny-Burnett
yeah wouldve liked to have seen more MJ. Theres the rockwell song in the pilot where MJ sings the chorus "somebody's watching me" Hmm never realized MJ sang backing vocals in this group until now. In retrospect, that voice was hard to copy. Sonny-Burnett
The Incomparable Lou Gramm of Foreigner. Foreigner has never been the same without him. "That Was Yesterday" I thought I knew you wellBut all this time I could never tellI let you get awayHaunts me every night and every dayYou were the only oneThe only friend that I counted onHow could I watch you walk awayI'd give anything to have you here todayBut now I stand alone with my prideAnd dream that you're still by my sideBut that was yesterdayI had the world in my handsBut it's not the end of my worldJust a slight change of plansThat was yesterdayBut today life goes onNo more hiding in yesterday'Cause yesterday's goneLove, my love I gave it allThought I saw the lightWhen I heard you callLife that we both could shareHas deserted meLeft me in despairBut now I stand alone with my prideFighting back the tears I never let myself cryBut that was yesterdayLove was torn from my handsBut it's not the end of my worldJust a little hard to understandThat was yesterdayBut today life goes onYou won't find me in yesterday's worldNow yesterday's goneGoodbye yesterdayNow it's over and doneStill I hope somewhere deep in your heartYesterday will live on

Sonny-Burnett
From his farewell tour, THE MAN, Phil Collins. "Take Me Home" Take that look of worryI'm an ordinary manThey don't tell me nothingSo I find out what I canThere's a fire that's been burningRight outside my doorI can't see but I feel itAnd it helps to keep me warmSo I, I don't mindNo I, I don't mindSeems so long I've been waitingStill don't know what forThere's no point escapingI don't worry anymoreI can't come out to find youI don't like to go outsideThey can't turn off my feelingsLike they're turning off a lightBut I, I don't mindNo I, I don't mindOh I, I don't mindNo I, I don't mindSo take, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me home, oh lordCos I've been a prisoner all my lifeAnd I can say to youTake that look of worry, mine's an ordinary lifeWorking when it's daylightAnd sleeping when it's nightI've got no far horizonsI don't wish upon a starThey don't think that I listenOh but I know who they areAnd I, I don't mindNo I, I don't mindOh I, I don't mindNo I, I don't mindSo take, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me homeCos I don't rememberTake, take me home, oh lordWell I've been a prisoner all my lifeAnd I can say to youBut I don't rememberTake, take me home...
ArtieRollins
XTC has been re-releasing some of their classic albums such as Nonsuch (1992), Skylarking (1986) this year and now recently Drums & Wires (1979) got the same treatment and I do hope English Settlement (1982) is up next. ArtieRollins
The Chameleons was just one of many great 80s acts that never got it right when it came to reach the heights of success but has over the past years gotten a lot of praise and positive critic for the material they put out back in their heyday. ArtieRollins
I really miss John Candy and John Hughes they were a great part of my childhood when it came to the movies and this weekend I had a fine time re-watching two of my favorite Candy/Hughes flicks, Uncle Buck and Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
