She married Thai Ma Sek years ago as Castillo had been declared dead. Now, May Ying and her husband are in trouble. They are chased by gangster Rivas without any reason. But Castillo investigates that Ma Sek is not innocent at all: he is CIA ... Während Crockett noch immer suspendiert ist, taucht Castillo's Ex-Frau May Ying wieder in Miami auf. Sie heiratete vor einigen Jahren den Thai Ma Sek, da Castillo, der für die Drogenfahndung im goldenen Dreieck arbeitete, verschollen war und für tot erklärt wurde. Jetzt sind May Ying und Ma Sek in Schwierigkeiten. Sie werden ohne ersichtlichen Grund von dem Gangster Rivas verfolgt. Bei seinen Recherchen kommt Castillo dahinter, daß Ma Sek doch nicht so unschuldig ist: er ist CIA-Mitarbeiter... Additional comment: Zusatzinformation: This episode was the first that was shot for season five but it was broadcast as third episode of the season. The final scene with Castillo and May Ying was originally planned as a day shooting on the beach in the original script with Castillo walking away in the end. Due to script changes, it was shot as first scene of this episode on 15 September 1988 at 7 a.m. on the pier of Villa Vizcaya in South Miami. Diese Episode wurde als erste für die fünfte Staffel gedreht aber erst als dritte gesendet. Die Schluss-Szene mit Castillo und May Ying war ursprünglich als Schießerei am Strand bei Tag geplant, bei der Castillo am Ende weggeht. Aufgrund Änderungen am Skript wurde sie als erste Szene dieser Episode am 15. September 1988 um 19 Uhr am Pier der Villa Vizcaya in South Miami gefilmt. Von ARD geschnittene Szenen: Die Szene, wo Castillo mit seiner Frau erstmals Ma Sek in dem Hotel trifft ist um ca. 2 Minuten gekürzt. He does rarely appear in this and some of the next broadcasted episodes. Nevertheless, this episode with Castillo focus is awesome. Optics, story and music are top notch. The Tim Truman score is perfect too especially at the end where he perfectly timed distorted guitars corresponding with the martial arts fight. Only drawback is again story continuity: in season one Ma Sek was shown as a (word) shy guy, now he is an extrovert and ice-cold killer? This episode gives the first hint that this season may be the last: it closes an old storyline. The final scene with the Joan Armatrading song is a perfect choreography. Jetzt beginnen für die DJ Fans die mageren Jahre: er kommt ausser in ein paar Szenen in den nächsten Folgen kaum vor. Trotzdem ist diese Folge mit Castillo-Fokus top. Optik, Songauswahl und Story sind überdurchschnittlich. Die Trumanstücke sind 1a. Leider ist auch hier ein Continuity Schnitzer passiert: Ma Sek war in Goldenes Dreieck (1. Jahr) ein schüchterner und unscheinbarer Mann, jetzt auf einmal wird er von einem anderen Schauspieler verkörpert und ist ein hartgesottener Ganove und Mörder? Das der Folge anzulasten, wäre aber unfair: Sie ist top und hat eine gute Schlussszene. Hier beginnt man erstmals zu ahnen, dass die Serie bald eingestellt wird, da offene Handlungen aus den Vorjahren geschlossen werden. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
