Starting with the third season, Sonny switched to a Smith and Wesson 645 in .45 caliber. He carried this in a Galco Jackass rig. Forty-five caliber pistols were highly preferred at this time due to the unbeatable stopping power of the round. The .45 was first caliber-ed in the "Colt Government 1911" which is the platform that the "Detonics Combat Master" is modeled after.
Ab der dritten Staffel benutzte Sonny die Smith & Wesson 645 Kaliber .45. In der letzten Staffel wurde diese durch die Smith & Wesson 4506 ersetzt, dem Nachfolgemodell der 645er. Pistolen im Kaliber .45 ACP sind bevorzugte Polizeiwaffen aufgrund der hohen Mannstopfähigkeit dieser Patrone, allen voran die legendäre Colt Government 1911.
