Western simply is and was his all time favorite genre.

Probably now he is 'as free' just to go for this.

Although I rather see this role of HAP closer to a member of Ewing family ;) than to a John Wayne, lol ;)

Don just posted a screenshot with the pilot at his social network accounts.

This is not looking like cowboy ;) - but it is looking good :D !!

Even if it isn't aired on TV, quite frequently unaired pilots are leaked online. I see them on torrent sites all the time. Hard to say whether this pilot would be one of them...

I hope I look like that when I'm 65. :) He looks like he could still play the role of James Sonny Crockett.

I can not tell what let me feel different this time.

There was as much crap and senseless attempts with Don in the past...

This one feels GOOD!

I am pretty sure it will work.

Tell me a fool but he finally recognized he may not renounce to these small but fine SC 'accessoires' with him. Since Sundance Film Festival last year he got it.

For the first time he's looking just like the audience still see and still want to have him since 30 years.

(That is not my opion but the masses count!)

It is not liked with me but it is like it is - the first teaser always will be the appearance with someone.

Unfortunately only less persons know and see first of all he finally goes with a very different mental state into his work since Cold in July.

It changed so much with him. So very much.

To my eyes this project has a good base.

What happened to that Miami Baseball tv show he wanted to do?

You're speaking about SCORE, I think.

Cancelled.

Full of enthusiasm, even having found a director and planned a lot - cancelled.

I can only assume.

Don wanted to act the lead role and produce the entire thing.

Main reason, he did not want to bent with any rules by tv stations or financiers.

He wanted to go his own way - no influencing.

It will not have worked this way.

So it is pushed back in the drawer but not dead.

I'd love to see the unaired pilots for Mann's World and Southern Discomfort (was that the title" half-hour family sitcom). Also, on a non-DJ note, the one for the proposed Beverly Hills Cop series from a few years ago. I was psyched about that one and it seemed a lock for a fall pickup, but it never happened.

No, I don't. I wish I did, is what I'm saying.

:o  :o German's and these shortcuts like 'd

I am sorry. Now I got you :done:

The only what is saved with A Man's World is this :

I have to admit, as I watched it first time in 2012 I was fire and flame and sad it did not aired.

Even hours ago with my reply to you I felt the same excitement like then.

Now... I am glad they cancelled - I definitely dislike it now.

Ah..still what happened to it? lol

I did reply to you thedeparted94:

If you still have very special question please ask me.

My bad, didn't see your post. Well that sucks. I guess this western oil drama will be interesting though.

It would be nice to see Don Johnson appear much more, I would love it if he could do a Vice reunion with PMT, that would be a dream come true, the last time I saw Don was in Django Unchained but I'm sure there's been more movies too that I just haven't caught yet, I hear that Don is really ashamed of his daughter Dakota for starring in 50 Shades Of Grey..I suppose if you could see it from his point of view, that is his daughter after all.

Detective_Crockett, if one follows him like mad me ;) he appears often, very often.

Sure not with such masses around like it has been but he is always there and busy.

You should watch Cold in July. Great movie and showing the current Don in perfection.

Honestly?
This entire hype about embarrassment and being ashamed to watch his daughter in 50 SoG is a media effectively chess move.

Don is not ashamed -

Mel...  is anyway questionable :p  :p . She always tells what public want to hear. Phew !

One has to slip in those families.
Families to whom acting is a JOB like in a small family bakery where all are involved with the same job.

Don cares a shit if his daughter shows up naked or not (The movie anyway is not as hot like all who did not watch still think) .

A baker also does not check each baken roll with his daughter. :D
But... joke aside.
Don will have watched this movie - alone with no one around.

He is SO PROUD to his daughter in these days - he demonstrably had tears in his eyes in some scenes with her on red carpets and in privacy in the last weeks.

In the summary it would be ridiculous anyway if he would be ashamed.
His movies in 1968 and 1970 - in view to the times then - have been much more rebellious  and ... naked !

If now he would preach his daughter...

really - that is ridiculous.

I did think that, he was practically a ladies man and such on Vice and his other movies, so it would be quite hypocritical of him..and a hypocrite Don certainly is not.

Just imagining a Vice style conversation with Don and Dakota right now if he never knew about 50 Shades or only just found out..

*Two of them driving along the road at night*

Don: ''Dakota, who was Jamie Dornan?''

Dakota: ''Don't run around me dad...''

Don: ''Excuse the hell out of me, you're my daughter...and.''

Dakota: ''You're my dad, not my priest.''

(Silly Evan reference right there  :) )
