MIAMI VICE #2 PRODUCTION CONTINUITY PHOTO & PAPERWORK!

COOPER&BURNETT

Recommended Posts

Here is another of these one of a kind, rare MIAMI VICE Production items! Here is Stanley Switek reading a script to the episode that they were filming, standing next to the Bug Van! I've yet to determine which episode this is from.

This Production Continuity photo is on a polaroid, and is a one of a kind photo. There are no copies anywhere. You are the first MIAMI VICE fans to see this on the Internet (and perhaps anywhere). It's what you've come to expect when visiting this site, and the Cooper&Burnett Scrapbook Section.

This is another Extremely, Extremely Rare item for you to see. This is so Rare...it's a One-Of-A-Kind!

This is a Continuity Polaroid photo of MICHAEL TALBOTT on the set of MIAMI VICE, on the paperwork with the description of what he is wearing.

The Polaroid is also a One-Of-A-Kind picture. A continuity photo is taken of all the members of the cast on the day of filming, so that if they need to shoot a scene the next day, or a pick up shot later, they know what they wore, and how it visually looked. Not many of these escaped the production into private hands. There are a precious few out there, but each one is different, and Unique. No two are alike. This is a rare example, so you, the member here, can see for the very first time what this item looked like when MIAMI VICE was on TV.

Each photo is unique. Most actors just stood there, and didn't even smile for the photo, as it is only taken as a reference of what they looked like that day on the set.

stan%20008_zpslxnxddo3.jpg

On one side, and sometimes also under the taped-on Poloroid photo is a description as to what they wore. The Continuity Director worked closely with the Wardrobe Dept. This may have actually been taken by the Wardrobe Dept., as the Continuity Dept. had to keep an eye on every detail, such as props to make sure they are in the same place from shot to shot.

The description, in many cases even stated the maker of the clothes that were worn. It also usually gives the name of the Character, the scene of which he is in wearing the clothes, and the set it was worn on.

On the top right corner, under the actors name, is a number. That number incicates which episode the actor was filming at the time (titles change, but the episode production number won't). It's not in perfect sequence of the MIAMI VICE episodes in exact order, as they didn't make 6,000 + episodes. With a number as high as 63519, it encompasses all Universal Productions, and this number is the one that fell on the production of this particular episode.

Woah !
That's fantastic again !

Love the idea to photograph each cast member that way with kind a like a 'shopping list' (German would name it that way)
to connect the look to special scenes/ days.

Hmmmm, yes... to which ep. this could belong ?

I am sure we all will be able to determine it at any time.

Thank you so much, Coop !!!  :done:   :fireworks:

That's definitive a real special !!!  :funky:

Gosh... name me greedy but now my curiosity is fed to see more with these 'lists'. But I think just that way such special item should

become. Not walking over with a only nod and 'Oh, so nice'.
No - becoming hungry for these extraordinaire 'behind the scenes' items is much better !!

THANKS HEAPS !!!! ♥

Michaels signature is a beauty.
Is like a mirror to his kind and ... body state/shape.
Strong, big enough - impressive !

See me stay tuned, Coop !

I've never noticed those shoes. They are something else. Also, the lady's shoes in the background... Do women wear stuff like that anymore?

Good find!

Michael Talbott I believe said he owns the bug from the bug van when he was at the FRENCH TWIST Reunion #1. Which bug? That I couldn't tell ya, as there were I think, three different insects on the top of the van at one time or another. I'm guessing it was the last bug that was on there.

HA HA HA!  :D    I never noticed!  It reminds me of page 2 of Pam Grier's contract. They spelled the shows name, "MAIMI VICE". LOL! :)

Good eye Tony D.!

Well it will not become the biggest help to solve that question...

Only it is funny we discuss this now just here and only three days ago

Michael posted this at his timeline:

So if this car aside him shall be the green 'insect van' at least at that time it still was missing
the black insect prints on.

AWESOME Bluepearl!!!!  I knew I heard him say he owns the bug!  The photo on the continuity photo is of the new version of the bug van, when all the links to bugs are removed. They never used the bug again. I think the last time we may have seen the bug on the van, it may have been in BOUGHT AND PAID FOR when Izzy stole the van, and removed the bug. I could be wrong, but it's the last time I remember seeing it on the van anyway.

I can't believe you found these pictures!!  I wonder how much it would take for him to be willing to part with it? I'd have no place to put it myself, unless it was in the middle of a room.

Great find Bluepearl!!

Michael is very active on Facebook and seem to be picking up on telling his old Vice stories. Addtionally he is planning a tour next year which was already mentioned on our site. Cool stuff.

This is great news to all of us! I think Michael is more reflective about MIAMI VICE now that he's retired, and I think it mostly started when he started doing the FRENCH TWIST Reuinons. People were showing a real interest in him, his co stars, and the show. Now that he's retired, he's thinking about his career, and that people are, in fact, interested. He now has the time to invest in this with fans. Also, he's having fun sharing his stories and information!

This is great news to us all!

Just spotted this Tony D., This is from 2011, and from Ell.a's collection. As you can see, this is another continuity photo and paperwork, AND, Michael Talbott's name is not spelled correctly..AGAIN! First AND last name. It's obviously the same person. This time, It's spelled, MICHEAL TALBOT!

We're behind the scenes one more time.

And thanks Blue for the bug infos ;-)) I agree, Talbott is more reflective about MV now and I guess it started with the first French Reunion.

What can I say... If I had to produce a reboot of Miami Vice I'd surely start from here.

And hire Coop for consulting, of course!

Jerry Beck, .......what can I say?  I love you man!

I'm certain this all started with the FRENCH TWIST Reuion, therefore, we owe Michael Talbott's newly found interest in MIAMI VICE and connecting with fans to our member, alex2b who put together the French Twist Reuions, and started the ball rolling. He met with fans in a one on one setting, he saved tons of stuff from the set, and has stories to tell. Saundra and John said they really didn't save anything. John isn't a saver of things, and Saundra said she may have a dress or something from the show, but, once a show is done, she wants to start new, and not hold onto things like that to move on.

John and Saundra also are now doing more appearances, and it too is because of the FRENCH TWIST Reuion! That's what started all of this recient activity.  Thanks alexb!!

Coop, I think it's just a matter of finding the right excuse for getting back to MV.

For Talbott has been the Reunion, for me it's you guys ;-)

Jerry, It's great to have a "support group". It certainly helps to keep an interest when you find that it is shared by others who also have a passion. If I'm in a group of people who have a similar interest, and then over time, they lose the interest in the topic, I might too, and move on. This site has been different for years, and years. Only the most dedicated (or in my case one track minded) remain here, as they really, really have an interest in this fun show that has effected us all so much. It's 2015, and my interest in the show has grown.

I have a theory as to why Michael Talbott has not joined this site. My reasoning is because, 1. He's only reciently gotten into connecting with fans, and has his own Facebook page where he can control all aspects of what goes on there. And, number 2, Saddly, he's friends with Rick Bravo, and Rick Bravo was asked to leave this site due to bullying members. I'm guessing Rick said some things about this site, and most likely Michael has a view of this site based on his friend, and what he has said about it, and has decided not to join as a result. Why else would he not be on the World's biggest MIAMI VICE fan website? He's known about it for some time, but has never posted. I'm saddly pretty sure I'm correct in this assumption.

Regardlesss, he's still happy to meet fans, and share. Hopefully, this will expand over time.

We're all happy you are with us here Jerry, as your a very popular member. We look forward to your posts and photos. We are your second family. We all share, and care. That's what MIAMI VICE fans on this site do. It's our tradition.
