An inside look of the tv series Miami Vice. It's a digitized video from a cassette tape, some tapes were unfortunately damaged of Miami Vice.
On location with kind John Diehl, funny Michael Talbott, beautiful Saundra Santiago (THE WOMAN WHO PLAYS THE FEMALE OFFICER) they didn't even remember her name and the mysterious Edward James Olmos.

Also seen Enrique Bravo, Bruce Willis, Don Johnson, Phillip Michael Thomas, Joseph B. Remy (EJOs stand in), Producer John Nicolella, PMTs bodyguard and Dennis Farina.
About 36 min

It's funny to see how a scene looks shot from the outside and seeing the actors together off screen.

THIS IS HUGE!!!

This is the coolest, and LONGEST footage I've EVER seen of behind the scenes raw footage! Part one is over an HOUR LONG!!!

Following Switek and Zito around after shooting has stopped. A few interviews, signing autographs, opening and reading fan letters out loud, showing thier dressing rooms.....I'm just speechless. This is THE most amazing stuff I have ever seen on the subject. No voiceovers, no music, just perfect RAW FOOTAGE.

I first clicked onto the link, and then made it full screen, and I raised the volume icon on the video itself. There is a long pause of just a blank screen for the beginning, but soon after, the fun begins. This was raw footage for a TV station that was going to do a montage, and show MIAMI VICE behind the scenes stuff for the station. Interestingly, the stuff that DIDN'T make it on the air is the most interesting stuff!

One guy walks up to Michael and asks who he is. He says he's Michael Talbott. He asks the guy if he watches MIAMI VICE, the guy says he "watches all the time". Michael asks him if he ever remembered hearing the name SWITEK or ZITO. The guy says "no". Michael then says, "I'm the driver for this truck" (He's standing next to the honeywagon truck that has small dressing rooms in it). Awesome!

Michael Talbott is at his very funniest best! For the station, he goes door to door at an apartment complex in Miami to see if people are watching MIAMI VICE that night. He knocks on doors, and when they say, "Who is it?" he answers, "Michael Talbott, MIAMI VICE". People open doors for him, ("C'mon clown, open the door!") and invite him in, and he sits on the couch, asks for, and drinks beer, smokes a cigar, and makes tons of funny comments, too numerous to post (an example: The owner of the appartment asks a cigar smoking Talbott "Do you want an ashtray?" Michael quickly replies, "No, I'll just put it out in the rug.") His one liners are AWESOME! This is just an amazing find!!! It's too good to be true!!!  Part one is long, but ends very quickly, and there is lots of no footage after that, even though it looks like there may be. Time to watch a very little more on the next part....

Part two is here  http://www.wolfsonarchives.info/view/?id=59813&accession=WC04193&status=DIGITIZED&wc_no=WC04193&search_term=miami vice&fileid=WC04193.mp4

I did a search for MIAMI VICE on the websites seach engine, and came up with LOTS of hits!! As of this writing, I have yet to view them, but here, click onto this to see the results for more footage!

Great Find SUMMER84!!!!!!!

It really is huge and luckily it still exist as some of the tapes were damaged in some parts of footage in other videos. I was really thrilled when I found this cause this was the stuff I had wanted to see for so long and I finally found. I was a bit hesitant about posting it in case it already was but I am glad I did with your amazing reaction. Yes there are more videos, some of it is the same raw footage I posted but for instance there is a funny interview with Don Johnson you can also type in his name.

Unfortunately I forgot where I found it but was planning on posting that one also. The second part is with Michael Talbott talking with people in their apartments while they are watching Miami Vice and I saw some of it but I enjoyed the first part better. I wasn't that patient about the second part.

THANKS Coop

I have seen this video you posted but forgot about it. I just now noticed the bald guy with the cigar in the background. Very interesting interview and great video.

Great videos, Summer84 and Coop, the Wolfson archives are a good place for behind the scenes stuff like this.  The Today Show stuff I used to have access to when I worked for NBC back in the day (1996-2000, long after Vice aired) it's located in their New Jersey News Archives.

Thanks for the kind words on this, but let's not forget who found this website in the first place, and posted it first. That would be summer84.

Without her, this wouldn't have been possible. I just wanted to draw attention to her find, and highlight some stuff that hadn't been pointed out yet. There's still much unseen on that website!

THANK YOU SUMMER84!

You opened up a whole new world to this website! What an outstanding find that is so important for us here on this site. You've just left your mark on this site BIG TIME!!

Thanks again!

This brought a smile to my face. I am happy that you Coop appreciate what I've found and you have done an excellent job in posting the other videos and drawing the attention to this topic. I actually found this website http://www.wolfsonarchives.info/  at the end credits of Miami Vice:30 years later on youtube.
