Personally, I moved away from my tortoise shell Wayfarers in the early 2000s, having worn them throughout the 90s, and went for Ray-Ban Predators. They were at the tail end of the whole Matrix-style sunglasses era, and my particular model was one of their hottest selling ones. Sadly, they were discontinued some time around 2003-2004, and it has proved impossible to find a new pair.
