The Miami Vice Effect

Thanks for sharing!

When it comes to fashion, I wonder if PMT had any influence on his clothing style or if it was all in control by the Costume Designers...

Thought I would add this bit here, excerpt from an article, I found some months back.

"As for Miami Beach women, they may have had bigger hair in the 1980s, but sundresses and sunglasses were a natural fit then and still are, said Rose DeMerle, 70, who said she played an extra on several episodes of the show. Show producers were always eager to emphasize the warmer climate, she remembered, recalling a cool day in the middle of winter when she shivered through a take while wearing what most of America would think of as authentic Miami attire."

The Miami Vice Effect

How the Michael Mann-helmed TV hit turned gauche into gold, shaped 1980s men’s style and gave a facelift to a city on the side.

I had never heard of the Miami Device, but it has been discussed here:   https://miamiviceonline.com/index.php?/topic/2911-anybody-heard-about-the-miami-device-by-wahl-clipper-corp/

Does this photo look like it was taken at the Universal Miami Vice Stunt Show?
