February 24th - March 2nd:

**There was no Season 1 premiere episode this week**

**There was no Season 2 premiere episode this week**

"Lend Me An Ear", the 18th episode of the 3rd season, premiered on NBC on Friday, February 27th, 1987 at 9PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):
* Several of the night scenes appear as though they were filmed with night-vision, as evidenced by the green tint in the shots. However, it is evident that green lighting was used to give this effect, as other colors can be seen in the shots, which would not be present with real night vision.
* Voice Stress Analysis has become an area of dispute of its accuracy and scientific value since the initial airing of this episode.
* John Glover's "Steve Duddy" character was under consideration to be part of the fourth season episode "The Big Thaw" in the role of the "thawer" of Robillard Nevin's body, but the role ultimately went to Izzy Moreno.
* A few shots of the opening boat chase have clearly been sped up to make the chase seem faster than it really is.
* A bad jump-cut edit reveals that the car screeching to a halt after the boat skids across the roadway was filmed separately.
* Duddy, using the bug in the fuse box, picks up Dykstra's phone conversations, yet Switek, using Duddy's laser microphone, apparently does not. If Switek did, he might have noticed how Duddy's faked call sounded a lot like the conversations Dykstra had over the past few days.
* When Crockett and Tubbs go to Dyskstra's house and are met by LaGuardia, Tubbs gets out of the Testarossa...twice.
* When Crockett and Tubbs arrive at Duddy's house for the final time, there is a shot of Dykstra's thug dead outside the front door. In the last second of the shot, someone's hand can be seen moving into the frame on the railing (it's neither Crockett nor Tubbs' hand, as they are still downstairs).

"Indian Wars", the 15th episode of the 4th season, premiered on NBC on Friday, February 26th, 1988 at 9PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):
* The Miccosukee Reservation still exists, with a resort & casino on the site, which has also sponsored a NASCAR Sprint Cup car.
* This episode has the highest number of credited writers for any single episode of Vice (5 total).
* Castillo carries a Colt 1911 while undercover, marking only the third time in the entire series he is shown using a semi-automatic handgun instead of the revolvers he usually carries.
* In the final scene, Tubbs is shown without his (fake) glasses in the penthouse, but when he rushes to the railing, he suddenly has them on.

"Jack Of All Trades", the 12th episode of the 5th season, premiered on NBC on Friday, March 3rd, 1989 at 10PM EST. Some notes on this episode (from Miami Vice Wiki):
* Gina, Trudy, and Castillo do not appear in this episode.
* This is the only fifth season episode that has a light-hearted tone.
* This episode and the following one, "The Cell Within", were filmed simultaneously (January 16th - 24th, 1989) due to the shortened shooting schedule caused by the 1988 writer's strike. As a result, Crockett has most of the scenes in this episode and Tubbs does in the next.
