Assasinge
I had an interesting thought occur to me today...has anyone heard about sites like rabbit.com or join.me? Basically, they're sites where you can watch movies or tv shows, even videos online with other people simply by having people join a link and then chatting in real time while watching something. So why not watch Miami Vice, maybe like every Friday, or Saturday etc. with everyone? We could vote on an episode, and someone or me could go find the episode from somewhere...again, just a thought that occurred to me today. Vicefan7777
I honestly have never heard of those sites. interesting idea you have.
Assasinge
Well it's ok if you haven't, all I have to do is provide the link for people to join right here or where ever and the episode will already be loaded and ready to be played once we're all ready. I'll admit, I'll probably have to get the episodes off of this one website that I use...but nothing to worry about.

Or go here: https://www.rabb.it/ That's where you'd watch anything with other people.
Stinger390X
ok......kind of like the theatre experience except in your living room? Would you get reactions of others such as a funny scene or a tearjerker or whatever? Is this what the multiple user thing is for? I'll check out the site when \I get some more time...gotta run now. Basically yeah, anyone who joins can watch whatever is on the screen there. I believe users can chat in the chatbox, I din't believe it has voice features. Assasinge
Edit, apparently it does, so yes we can get live reactions out of people while watching!
Stinger390X
You know it sounds just like another distraction to me! I mean I want to watch a movie to be entertained and informed and I have to turn to my puter every two minutes to be interrupted by someone I think that would take away from the movie experience. Last week I saw "Hidden Figures" and what I liked was when Kevin Costner takes a crow bar and breaks down the sign "Coloured Bathroom" the entire audience clapped and cheered. It was a moment that we all enjoyed and to think my puter will just go beep or something when something like that happens while home watching, just takes away from the movie experience. We are all wired too much in recent years. There are times I don't even carry my phone because I want the world to leave me alone! Sorry but I cannot see any benefit to watching a movie and being on line. I don't care what anyone says but humans can truly not multitask with efficiency. Something is always lost in the mix. Enjoy it if you wish but I know I won't participate. Just my two cents...................................................
Assasinge
Well if you mean you'll be distracted by people's voices during the episode playings, you can mute them and and sounds. And just watch people type in the chatbox instead while watching.
Stinger390X
With al respect I think you misunderstood my last post. Please re-read! My point is that millenials are attached to their devices in a manner that is NOT healthy. Their regards to things like internet and the such are that they feel the need to "Chat" while watching a movie, instead of paying attention to it! I would not want to watch a movie and have some idiot post a comment like "Did you see that 57 chevy?" or "Did you see that girls dress...wasn't it aweful?" or any of ten thousand useless comments. I mentioned I like going to the movies to get the audiences JOINT reaction to specific things which we all can cheer or sob or envy as one unit. That is what makes a movie theatre special. You should realize that the internet is only good for three things....Porn, Cat videos and of course Miamiviceonline. Assasinge
Oh, sorry, apparently I misunderstood your post. But, does the voice chat function not function as the joint reaction you're talking about? I mean, it's not like I can go to a movie theater or anywhere really and watch MV with people anymore...I can't at least, I'd like to watch it with some other people. Besides my parents. Not at all...in a theatre when something happens the majority or the masses will react in a way appropriate to the scene. You as a viewer are still staring at the screen and have enjoyed a mutual feeling of the audience in regards to a certain scene. If I have to look at a text box or a laptop or any other distraction that takes me away from the movie experience I would find that annoying! Call me an old fart I suppose but I am so sick of people hanging on to their cell phones like it's the end of the world. I had dinner at the keg with a lady friend last week and at the table near us was a young couple. We were there for over an hour and chatted about this and that and the young couple didn't say two words between them the entire time. They ate their 40 dollar steak dinner and were on their phones the entire time. It was actually comical to watch! Do we really need to interact on every level other than natural ones? just my two cents...................... By the way...if it's a penny for your thoughts, and two cents for an opinion....who's making a penny? Just another capitalist prognostication...................................
