As a big Miami Vice Third Season fan I decided to post some photos of DJ's haircut to see its evolution through the season (1986-1987) as my first topic ever here. These images were found while surfing the internet. I hope you like it! In my opinion, Don Johnson had his best hairstyle in the entire series during the Streetwise episode filming, starting October 17 until October 27 in 1986, because he had a mixture of his 2nd Season haircut plus the spiky part and a small mullet on his back (you can see that haircut in the last photo shared here, where he's wearing a teal/blue blazer with a black Henley t-shirt). Indeed, it was a very badass look for that time, almost like Schwarzenegger's haircut from the first Terminator. The spiked hair Don Johnson wore is very difficult to copy, it's a mixture between ''flattop'' and ''mullet'' haircuts, something strange. The worst thing about this haircut and the 3rd Season look in general is that most of the old people wear them in Spain and because of that it has lost its ''State of The Art'' status. Judging by 1987 standards those short jackets with pleated pants were the best thing you could put but if I do this today, people will just laugh at me. I guess this theory unfortunately only applies to the 3rd Season clothing, the one from the 2nd is still an excellent combination to wear during summer. Noggie Posted July 23, 2017 Report Share Posted July 23, 2017 I liked the hair from early in season 3. Later in the season with the mullet just didn't do much for me. I liked it when it was all short. My favorite look is probably season one although season 2 is pretty close. The "Cool Running" look works for me because it doesn't look too high maintenance. The season 4 look is the opposite of low maintenance. It looks like Crockett had to get up pretty early just to get the hair worked on. Way to stylized & honestly kind of feminine. The season 5 look was decent early on but the really long hair doesn't work for the character for me.
