Early in "Badge of Dishonor" Tubbs spots Montana and chases her down.  They talk at her homeless camp next to the Miami River. There is a huge ship in the background.  You can see it is named the Ocean Freeze of Bernuth Lines.

I searched for the name and found it has an interesting history:

The vessel is the Ocean Freeze, an aging, crewless 275-foot refrigerated cargo ship tied up next to Bicentennial Park in downtown Miami. The Coast Guard warns that in bad weather, the 1500-ton eyesore could break loose from its moorings and crash into the bridge leading to the Port of Miami or into another vessel, wreaking havoc. The ship has been tied up there since January 1997 and the U.S. Coast Guard says it has presented a hazard since the beginning of hurricane season last year.

Apparently the plan was to sink it south of Miami near Turkey Point to make an artificial reef.  I'm not sure if that ever happened.

The Chinese Village, a unique neighborhood in Coral Gables.  A shame that Vice never filmed here, as far as I can remember.

I drove through Coral Gables once or twice but didn't get around to looking at the Chinese Village.  Adding it to my list!

Looks great Jim - would have been perfect for the “Golden Triangle” Season 1 episodes

Some good news on the location front for a change.  In an era when iconic Miami sites are disappearing almost every day, all 14 acres of the original Parrot Jungle still exist.  I would bet that the parrots in the Vice opening montage were filmed there.  I just discovered that it's now a public park.  https://www.pinecrestgardens.org/

Recent drone video w/ good view of Freedom Tower etc.

At 2:02 we get a nice look at the house used in Junk Love, Down For the Count, and God's Work.  It now has solar panels on the roof.

One of my favorite MV houses! I would throw some wild 80s parties if I lived there! :fireworks:

A new picture I saw on my twitter feed last night of Downtown Miami - from the Miami River this is from the area Big Fish used to be. We see the BOA tower and the back of the Convention Centre & Hyatt. :hippie:

This location off the Miami Avenue Bridge reminds me of so many great episodes “Dutch Oven”, “The Good Collar”, “Lend Me An Ear” :dance2:

Great photo airtommy.

Good news for Marine Stadium fans.  MIAMI MARINE STADIUM LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES!

This is a highly prestigious designation; it means that the Stadium now assumes its rightful place as a nationally recognized historic structure. Also, the Stadium is now eligible for financing through the sale of federal historic tax credits, that could pay approximately $5 million of the restoration costs. This depends upon how the City of Miami organizes the operation of the Marine Stadium

This reminds me a lot of the view in "The Specialist" when Stallone steps outside of his hideout.
