Take it from Chloe. She's in the medical field.Free National health care is NOT "free". You will pay through the nose for this. SOMEBODY has to pay. It will be YOU.

Take it from me...

I will.I think we are fortunate to have someone like you that is a medical provider in a single payor country, as you see the system from the inside, at the level of direct patient contact. Your opinion has a great deal of weight with me  .

Thanks for those articles, Richie! Here's another one from CNN Money about the "Five Freedoms You'd Lose Under Healthcare Reform"http://money.cnn.com/2009/07/24/news/economy/health_care_reform_obama.fortuneHere's the House version of the bill:http://waysandmeans.house.gov/media/pdf/111/AAHCA09001xml.pdfScroll to pages 57-59, section 163. They want Real-Time access to our bank accounts to make sure we are able to pay for services rendured!

First of all, no "Bill" should ever be allowed to be 1000+ pages. No one (Americans) will read all 1000+ pages of the legalese mambo jumbo and that's were they will get you. The fine print that you didn't see or read because the "Bill" was littered with garbage and way too long.

Well, that's how congress passed Obama's stimulous bill. It was URGENT to pass it RIGHT NOW!!!!!Nobody in congress read all of it. Nobody. It was 1000 + pages. That's why there was hundreds of millions of dollars hidden for special projects that they wanted to sneak in, and hurried it along by panicing everyone.Has the massive stimulous bill helped you?

Yep, I get an extra 13 dollars in my check every two weeks. But that money will be taxed at the end of the year, so I'm questioning "MY" bailout?

The original aim of the NHS:'universal health care, free at the point of usage' This was 60 years ago...all very noble. But I can't get an appointment with GP for 4 weeks & if i want a hip replacement i have to wait 2-3 years& god help you if you want to have a baby. My sister in law went into hospital last week to be induced & had to wait 4 days because there weren't enough midwives to attend to her. Sat in an NHS hospital bed for 4 days costing the NHS £2000 a day because of mis-management & a heamorrhaging of staff due to poor pay & conditions.

Todays paper states that Obama is now getting set to give amnesty to all ILLEGAL aliens that are currently living in the U.S.. He plans to make it happen this time.Boy, he told the truth when he said a vote for him is a vote for change. When Ted Kennedy and George Bush wanted to do that, America went nuts with outrage!! I guess it's coming around again!Looks like those who were determined to get rid of lousy Bush and the phony conservatives and voted in someone who nobody knew anything about, just to clean house in disgust, just dealt this country a huge blow! As Yoda said in the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, "Now, matters are worse."

It's too expensive' date=' and won't work. It's a change all right. ....a bad change![/quote']Coop you are so Un-American. That's the opinion of the Speaker of the House. Believe it or not, an elected official said something that dopey. You are obviously a pawn of the insurance industry, and you are afraid of opposing views (her opinion).More stupidity here (including the rest of what she and Steny Hoyer said):http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2009/08/unamerican-attacks-cant-derail-health-care-debate-.htmlHow dare you openly oppose "Obama's idea of Health Care Reform", as stated by him. By the way, the Pres. himself had something to say to you too. If you disagree with him, then here's what he wants you to do - "don't talk", and "get out of the way." Hear it here:
That's so nice of our gov. officials to tell us how to behave. We should shut-up and do exactly as they say, or we are un-American and should be ashamed.

It's our ELECTED public Government officials that are UN-AMERICAN.They are systematically dismantaling everything that has made this country great. They were elected to REPRESENT us (That's why they are called "representatives" or "public servants"). They were not elected for them to tell us what we should do and believe, then scold the masses when we say this is not what the majority wants. Things are getting twisted. Why are we allowing them so much power??

Things are getting twisted - indeed. Remember this when you start seeing constant ads by the drug indistry, and wonder why they are so happy throwing all their support behind the Pres.'s health reform. Here's what happened:

In return for the feds agreeing not to try to negotiate lower drug prices once ObamaCare is in effect, pharma’s going to go all out to the tune of $150 million in advertising to get the bill passed and hand The One the political victory he’s desperate for. Won’t that mean much higher costs for the program than it might otherwise have had? Sure, but so what? The point here is getting Obama reelected, not designing the most efficient possible health-care program.

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/08/10/um-whos-bought-and-pai-for-by-the-drug-lobby/Oh, and Coop, the Pres. had another message for you today. Turns out that he feels you are not un-American, but you are a corporate shill, so you should just pipe down. How Presidential of him. He just wants to make sure we know that he doesn't care what we think, and he knows what's best for us, the corporate lackeys that we are. http://michellemalkin.com/2009/08/11/white-house-youre-not-un-american-but-you-are-still-corporate-shills-so-just-pipe-down/

Obama Sticks Foot in Mouth in Town Hall Meeting Today, Then Does it A Second Time for EmphasisPart 1:
At another point of today’s town hall meeting, Obama was pushing back against the idea that the creation of a new government-run plan would drive private insurers out of business, and he said that UPS and FedEx were doing fine, but “it’s the post office that’s always having problems.” Oops!So then you get statements in which Obama, in the course of arguing for a government-run system, takes a shot at the government-run post office.
Part 2:Obama wildly misrepresented the AARP’s position on Obamacare:…the President may have overstated support for his plan in one instance. When asked about the potential impact of the reform plan on Medicare, the President said, “The AARP would not be endorsing a bill if it was undermining Medicare.” Problem is - the AARP has not yet endorsed the plan. The New Hampshire head of the AARP chapter here told ABC’s Lisa Chinn today that the AARP hasn’t yet made up its mind as an organization whether to endorse the bill. AARP says, "indications that we have endorsed any legislation are inaccurate...."

Invasion of privacy' date=' pure and simple.[/quote']And then some - access to your personal checking account too. It's in the bill. real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer. ... Let's hear from someone on the left, who has studied the matter, and is also an intelligent author, and a supporter of Obama. Fascinating article by Camille Paglia. No friend of conservatives, she takes the Dems to task for their obsessive march toward big government, brutalizes Nancy Pelosi and speaks the truth about the healthcare reform fiasco.Obama's healthcare horrorHeads should roll -- beginning with Nancy Pelosi's!By Camille Pagliahttp://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2009/08/12/town_halls/
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom I used to admire for her smooth aplomb under pressure, has clearly gone off the deep end with her bizarre rants about legitimate town-hall protests by American citizens. She is doing grievous damage to the party and should immediately step down.""I just don't get it. Why the insane rush to pass a bill, any bill, in three weeks? And why such an abject failure by the Obama administration to present the issues to the public in a rational, detailed, informational way? The U.S. is gigantic; many of our states are bigger than whole European nations. The bureaucracy required to institute and manage a nationalized health system here would be Byzantine beyond belief and would vampirically absorb whatever savings Obama thinks could be made. And the transition period would be a nightmare of red tape and mammoth screw-ups, which we can ill afford with a faltering economy.""But somehow liberals have drifted into a strange servility toward big government, which they revere as a godlike foster father-mother who can dispense all bounty and magically heal all ills. The ethical collapse of the left was nowhere more evident than in the near total silence of liberal media and Web sites at the Obama administration's outrageous solicitation to private citizens to report unacceptable "casual conversations" to the White House. If Republicans had done this, there would have been an angry explosion by Democrats from coast to coast. I was stunned at the failure of liberals to see the blatant totalitarianism in this incident, which the president should have immediately denounced. His failure to do so implicates him in it."
Wow.
