I am a big John Candy fan too!I did not like the way they treated the car in the flick either as some of the shots were very hard on the suspension of that car! I bet it had a few cracks in the body after the filming was done???On another note...I just picked up "The Gumball Ralley" in the "cheap bin" at the video store for 5 bucks!!! Now that is a REAL DAYTONA for sure!My favourite line is when he tears off the rearview mirror and says it doesn't matter what is behind you becasue you are going so fast your passing everything else (or something to that effect?)Funny movie.
