Back to thinking it was filmed there (the interior scenes) after close examination of the exterior chase scene and how they exit the restaurant.

This is awesome, so many new locations found for this majorly important MV episode!   I just watched the alley scene and followed along on Google Street View.  It's remarkable how many details have not changed.

I can't find any address for Strawberries.  I can't find ANYTHING about Cockles even existing.  Those double lines in the parking lot are interesting.

I ran both names, Strawberries and Cockles and variants of them thru Sunbiz to see if those names were ever incorporated, or even licensed as a fictitious business. No luck, very strange.

Regarding the "It's remarkable how many details have not changed." I was thinking the same thing as I studied the scene. Often doors are bricked over or new ones added, but here little except a paint job has occurred.

Great location updates to this ep, C Glide, and I'd always wondered about the location of the Castillo alley fight scene...thanks for your efforts.

Sad news, folks.  Since last year when we discussed the alley scene at the end of Golden Triangle Part 1, there have been some changes.

The good news:  last year Google Street View did not quite reach the entire alleyway to the back door of the restaurant.  Now it does go all the way and everything looks almost exactly as it looked 30 years ago.

The bad news:  I recently visited this location (I believe I am the first person to go ever set foot on this hallowed ground) and things have been remodeled and many important details have changed.

Looking at the back door of the restaurant where they exit into the alley:

1. Screen capture from the DVD

2. Google Street View, hardly changed, even the little pipe that hooks around on the bottom left is still there

3. My photo, now a single door, and this might not even be the same doorway

In the same part of the alley, the assassin and Castillo both run past a storage area surrounded by a chain-link fence.  That fence can be seen in Google Street View but is now enclosed with walls.

And the fight scene happens next to a different storage area surrounded by chain-link fence, at the northwest corner of the alleyway.  That area has also been enclosed with walls.

Thank you airtommy...some great information.

It's a shame there are enclosed areas now since chain link fences are no longer a viable deterrent to keeping things safe

When I was lightening up a screenshot for printing before my trip, I noticed that the address "755" can be seen above the door:

Nice airtommy - I also visited this Hialeah location in 2014 alongside Hialeah Racepark - I believe MV only shot in Hialeah twice once  for "Golden Triangle" and also the opening credits (flamingos):hippie:

What business was there at the time?  Was it a restaurant?  Do you have any photos?

airtommy recently visited this location from "Golden Triangle" aka Score ( Part 1) in Hialeah and I also went there in February 2014 - here are some photos of East 9th St, Hialeah .  I always found this location interesting as they only filmed in Hialeah ( as far as we know) for this episode in November 1984.

Hialeah Racepark (Vice trademark flamingoes) did appear in the opening credits.:D:hippie:

Great shots of the famous alleyway Castillo/Thai assassin fight scene. One of my favorites in the entire series. Didn't know the flamingos were shot at the raceway? Nice...
