http://www.thomas.gov/, enter "HR 3590" In the search box and look for "CRS Summaries." This is what you'll find. Title IX Revenue Provisions—Subtitle A: Revenue Offset "(Sec. 9002) Requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee The aggregate cost of applicable employer-sponsored group health coverage That is excludable from the employee's gross income (excluding the value of Contributions to flexible spending arrangements)." Starting in 2011—next year—the W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be Increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are provided. It doesn't matter if you're retired. Your gross income WILL go up by the amount Of insurance your employer paid for. So you’ll be required to pay taxes on a larger Sum of money that you actually received. Take the tax form you just finished for 2009 and see what $15,000.00 or $20,000.00 additional gross income does to Your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many it puts you into a Much higher bracket. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for Fifteen (15) percent that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases, But it's not really a "tax increase" as such, it a redefinition of your taxable income. Also, go to Kiplinger's and read about the thirteen (13) tax changes for 2010 that Could affect you. People have the right to know the truth because An election is coming in November. So vote intelligently, based on your values. Also adjust your tax withholding, or increase your savings, so that you aren't Surprised and put in a jam when your federal income taxes are due on April 15, 2012.

I just did a little research on this and while it is true that the info will be put on your W-2 form, it won't be added to your gross and taxed. It's there to prove you have health care and aren't in violation of federal law. Here in Massachusetts, when I do my taxes, I get a letter from my health care provider that I give to my accountant along with all my other paper work. Let's not give them any ideas, though!

Doctors around the country are already turning away new patients who have Medicare.1,100 doctors in Yew York Have left the Medicare program ENTIRELY. Lower reimbursement rates are forcing doctors to opt-out of the system, limit new patients, or limit the number of Medicare patients in their practices:http://www.bostonherald.com/news/opinion/editorials/view/20100627obamacare_and_usYAY SOCIALISM! :radar::evil::thumbsdown:

In defence of a National Health Care sysyem. We have just had the most fantastic care for 14 weeks in NICU for our daughter. She was in the best unit on the south coast of England with the best neonatologists. We are having ongoing care at home whilst jemima grows as well as oxygen being installed' date=' cylinders & all the equipment. We also get free special 'top up' formula milk to help her gain weight & visits from the Peadiatric nurse team & health visitor. All this is FREE at point of contact (ok so we pay a small amount through ourtaxes) our daughters care thus far will have cost several hundred thousands of £££'s along with all the other babies in the NICU.The NHS is FANTASTIC!!![/quote'] I have to agree with you! We have national healthcare overhere in the Netherlands to. And we do have discussion about it; such as what kind of care should be in the basic insurance which mandatory for everybody and what kind of care should be in a extra insurance you cann choose to take, The system works.I for one was very happy that we have this system when I ended up in hospital.

....... most people getting money back at the end of the year' date='...........now most likely end up owing money Nice.[/quote'] If a stranger knocked on your door and said, GIVE ME $300....would you ?....Taxes are no different...a pure confiscation...."Refund" is a ZERO PERCENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT. The only way to get the masses seriously INVOLVED in the political process is to make EVERYONE PAY their Monthly or Quarterly Tax Estimates By Check...in other words, you would your full GROSS, then YOU have to actual WRITE THE CHECK and HAND IT TO GOVT ENTITY...Withholding has done nothing but burden the employer with more administrative (non-value, non-wealth creating work)...and simultaneously disconnect the masses from the process, and even worse changed their mindset to the point that they will even take a LOAN out on THEIR OWN MONEY or the 'Refundf' is their only savings for the entire year....a very sad state of affairs

Nothing is 'FREE'Recently' date=' I met someone that said 'I can text ANY QUESTION TO 234234 and get an answer for free...unlimited...its great.' I said, Nothing is Free...Of course he challenged that....or more accurately, his date interrupted and said 'why are you so negative?'I asked them to ask 'What is the Boiling Point of Water?'..which anyone past the 5th grade should know both the C and F degrees...He texted it, and sure enough, he said '100C and 212F...see?'I said READ THE ENTIRE ANSWER ON YOUR SCREEN...'He said: "100C and 212F....oh, at the bottom it says [u']Click Here For Phoenix University"I slowly turned back to the bartender and said 'My Next Round, brought to you by Phoenix University...I rest my case'Then I queried the 'professor of free' if he (or his loud-mouth, interrupting date) whether they understood anything about payola Web Searches...like Google, Yahoo, and that your 'searches' are are actually paid keywords....I ask how do you think 'the Goog' makes any revenue....Obviously this was as if I asked 'What is Life'....they were dumbfounded....and I could tell they're whole 'green, save the planet montra was crumbling before my very eyes....' hilarious...As I said..NOTHING IS FREE...others are paying for it....you just need to find out how many folks are IN the Wagon, and how many folks are PULLING the Wagon....

Well stated, Jcm :thumbsup:The same people probably cry "foul" when they get a fee for using an ATM machine at a bank they don't do business with. :rolleyes:OMG As I type this, I just had Fox News on and they're showing Obama's speech at the G-20 summit. He just committed to reducing our debt IN HALF BY....... wait for it........ 2013. HOW?! Short of spending no money between now and 2013, I don't see us reducing the deficit by one red cent.

Maybe he believes the World will end on December 21st, 2012 like the Mayans predicted, I think that would kind of clear the deficit. It's strange how this president is so fixated on 2013, the health care bill doesn't take effect until then and now that's when he clears half the deficit, maybe he knows he is a one-term president as that's when he will possibly vacate the White House.

I'd wish only people who owned property had the right to vote so liars like Obama wouldn't get elected. Hopefully he'll be gone at the end of his term before he can do anymore damage.

Or, he doesn't want anything implemented until AFTER he gets re-elected (God, I hope not). If Obamacare and a whole bunch of spending cuts were implemented before 2012, there'd be anarchy like in Greece right now...

a good point...property ownership...I wish they'd let you have one vote PER ADDRESS....that would make landlords very happy....last time I checked the Tax Bill, its the LANDLORD's NAME that is liable, not the tenant...yeah, maybe the tenant get a portion of the rental expenses deducted....but the rental income goes straight in as top-line revenue on the Schedule E for the Landlord...So many folks do not understand tax code it is crazy....a simple tax code change to reduce the deduction from 80% down to 50% of business entertainment or business meals IS a tax increase...duh?

I had to laugh on the Bank Fee thing....I was a very early field tech fixing ATMs...way back...everyone (customers) thought they would never be a revenue stream for banks...when all along the thought was to introduce them at no charge...and eventually everyone will use them that a small $0.50 or even a buck per-use fee would work....turned out to be a huge $ windfall.Look no further than your $0 Annual Fee and 0% Introductory Rate CC Offers.....statistics show most Balance Rollers (folks that do not pay off their monthly balances...) fall prey to (er, living beyond their means) the transfer offer, and then INCREASE their balance due by charging more....and by that time the Intro Rate is gone and the 24% APR kicks in....Sounds like the 80s and 90s doesn't it...?I took up a 0% Intro card once....took $6k advance (0% for 6-Mo) and dumped it into CSCO....back in the day (pre DOT-COM crash) and doubled it....paid the card off and closed the acct.....Other Peoples Money...just like a bank.

  • 1 month later...

Obamacare takes a hit in Missouri. Yesterday 71% of voters supported Proposition C which allows residents of Missouri to ignore the federal mandate that forces you to buy health insurance:http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2010/0804/Missouri-voters-stage-revolt-against-Obama-health-care-reform:clap::clap::clap::clap:

That is wonderful!!:clap:However.....Over 7 million Californians voted against gay marriage, but one judge today just overturned it against the will of the voters.Don't be suprised if it gets over turned by a single judge.
