I’ve spent some time at the Four Points (Barcelona) and I agree this above scene is difficult to place. There has been major renovation but I agree very unlikely elevators would have been moved.

One possibility:  the elevators and elevator shafts stayed in the same place, but they turned them around.

That’s what I was thinking.

I just don’t know even then it seems like a lot of work.

Royal Hotel at 758 Washington Ave (where El Viejo stayed).in 1990 (razed after 1990) and in 1951.

One pic shows the VCE crew working in front of it.

It hasn't been razed, has it?   I think Matt visited it.

The Royal Hotel is still there (at least until recently=before Covid started). But the whole building was definetely massively remodelled when looking at it today.

Yes that’s right I did a few times in the last few years. Last I heard it was empty.

The lobby has been cut down again I noticed when I last went in 2020. Certainly looking well past better days.

Callsheet of this episode for Friday 17 June 1986 (first day of filming for this episode and season) shows that the interior museum scenes were also filmed in the Barcelona hotel (see red box) and not in Greenwich Studios.

This is obvious as the general color code appearance is the same as in the colorful hotel room scenes and we see the same ceiling lights, square shaped columns and circled ceilings like in the lobby (see pic with Trudy and El Viejo). Even CGlide has this wrong on his website despite he had the production sheets when building his page.

It really pays off to study the call sheets carefully.
