Matt5
Nice postcard of The Corsair (“Buddies”, “Death and the Lady”) as featured in this episode at 101 Ocean Drive. I take it the side street in the current streetview was added after The Corsair was demolished.
airtommy
When C&T are driving to Angelina's, there is one clip that's sort of unknown. @C Glide says: "They pass what I believe is SW 68th Street. The houses have been redone but the overall set up, driveways etc. match so I am unable to confirm 100% but I am 98% sure they are passing SW 68th Street." http://www.miamivicelocations2.org/page35.html I think maybe this was just a typo. They are on SW 69th Ave, but they are not passing SW 68th Street. They pass SW 69th Terrace. The house you see in the clip is still there and can definitely be confirmed. They changed the colors and added a new wing, but other than that it's the same. https://goo.gl/maps/qAAnEYZSRaP2 Edited April 5, 2019 by airtommy
Tom
NIGHT MEET CALDERONE+HARRISON: LOCATION CONFIRMATION? Julia Tuttle Causeway/195 On CGlides website it´s still marked unsure with Julia Tuttle suspicion. I tried to verify. What we see is: a low wall, the BoA Tower and the Downtown coastline in approx. 5km distance, lots of trees and bushes at the waterside (only 1-2 car length open) and also on the other side, 10-12m from water to Harrisson and another 20m clearing and bushes behind him, just dirt road. Triangulation with open sight on Downtown coastline from this angle with that distance leaves only eastern end of Julia Tuttle Causeway. I marked the potential area. On the 1986 historic aerial (same time as episode filmed in March 86), only one spot potentially fits at all with bushes between the water and the JTC/195, which is next to the western end of the last bridge near the Mount Sinai Hospital. I am not fully convinced with that spot either, because some details are missing there (not enough vegetation, the wall, the angle of the wall does not fully match with the coastline on this spot), but it is the only spot left that is possible at all due to knock out factors mentioned above. Matt5
The Corsair at 101 Ocean Drive in February 1990 just prior to demolition. (Sons and Lovers, Buddies, Death and the Lady). And an overview of the teaser locations (as seen in 1957) with the Corsair Hotel at 1st and Ocean [lower right].
