The majority of people on this planet are worthless idiots. Dealing with them for 29 years on the fire dept confirms it. Most of the ones I've come across that were seriously injured or sometimes killed pretty much deserved it. Sorry to sound harsh but the truth often hurts. As Forest said "stupid is as stupid does" I always looked at it as nature's way of strengthening the gene pool.
