Was part of "Casino Royale" shot in Miami? I know it said it was Miami, but it might have been shot elsewhere and probably was? Now that I think about it, the only part I remember being outside was at the airport runway and hangar, so it probably wasn't.....

Yeah you are probably right. The only part they probably filmed on location were the island scenes. Great list by the way!

Wild Things is one of my favourite Miami movies. It kind of has the same sultry atmos of Body Heat. Stunning opening credits sequence. Beautiful aerial photography. It starts in the Everglades then moves to the suburbs to the mansion islands and downtown. Just beautiful.I like the Only Fools and Horses episode in Miami too. Rico Ochetti in that should be familar to Vice fans

Tony Rome had a sequel called Lady In Cement (1968), it was also filmed in Miami, and also parts of Casino Royale (2006) were actually filmed in Miami, it was on the special features disc where I heard that.P.S. Sorry about that Tommy, by the way, I ddn't know Body heat was filmed in Miami, I thought it was in a small town somewhere down south.

A little bit of Body Heat in was in Miami but most of it was filmed north of there in Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Hollywood Beach. that whole area.

Clinton & Nadine (1988) aka Blood Money.I believe it was at least partly filmed in Miami anyway Miami was location in the movie. On a side note it had a lot of actors from Miami Vice and J.Hammer did the music for it. If I remember correctly a little bit of music was exactly the same as in MV. A little more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094885/

Tommy,You can add "Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin' with the Godmother" (2008). Haven't seen it but I heard it was bad, not as good as the first documentary. Mickey Munday didn't like it. Your list may be unique. You should be able to find a good use for it. Maybe Miami City Commissioner Joe Sanchez would be interested. He is one of the primary advocates for keeping Burn Notice in Miami. He and others argued successfully that TV and movie productions have bought a lot of money and publicity to the city over time and should be encouraged. It will be an issue again next year after the one year extension is up.

I saw about 5 minutes of Cocaine Cowboys 2 and it doesn't look too good. It's not 1980s Miami, it's the West Coast in the '90s. BOR-ING!

This is very right. Just look at what Miami Vice did for the city. The restoration of South Beach basically began with Vice

Surfside SixRecently on the backlot tour at Warner Bros, they mentioned series from the 60s made there ... when I was looking on youtube for "77 Sunset Strip" etc., an ad for this little beauty of Surfside Six was on the list. It is the opening of an episode and it is brilliant. Thank goodness Miami Vice upped the style-factor with fashion and music!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAqxpGgXdU0

"Surfside 6" was one of the spin-off detective series from "77 Sunset Strip." The most popular spin-off from "77 Sunset" was "Hawaiian Eye." It ran 4 seasons...whereas "Surfside" only ran for 2. However, seasons back then were almost 2x as long as ones today...so "Surfside" has about enough episodes for 3 to 3 1/2 seasons of a show today. I saw on the original list that "Surfside" was said to be from 1960-61--but I believe it went to 1962. From what I've read and researched on those shows...most of them were filmed on backlot soundstages in Hollywood, and not the actual exotic locations they supposedly were taking place in. Some scenes and opening shots were filmed there to give the viewer the idea it really was in Miami, or Hawaii, or New Orleans--which was another exciting-location "77" spin-off that didn't last. The houseboat used in "Surfside" was actually docked sometimes in the Miami area for a few scenes--and they supposedly were right near the Fountainbleu Hotel in the show. Some outside shots are of the actual hotel...but all the inside shots were sets on a soundstage back in L.A./Hollywood, and not Miami. But, I love all those old shows and they didn't have the out-landish budgets and funding that shows do today. They did the best with what they had. I have "homemade" DVD sets of "Surfside 6" and "Hawaiian Eye." I haven't been able to find a complete one of "77 Sunset Strip" or anything on the New Orleans one.

Thanks Vicefan, Interesting info. I remember when the Houseboat was docked across from the Fontainbleu.

It was Warner Bros in Hollywood where we saw some of the props and costumes for 77 Sunset Strip & Hawaiian Eye. Sadly I couldn't get any shots because the items were in their museum and at that point on the tour, your cameras are locked away by the driver. It was great to be reminded of some of the earliest TV shows I can remember watching.

Thanks Vicefan' date=' Interesting info. I remember when the Houseboat was docked across from the Fontainbleu.[/quote']Yeah, I read that sometimes they had the Surfside 6 houseboat docked right near the Fountainbleu Hotel to film some of the outside shots and to let fans see it sometimes...so they would think that most of it really was in Miami. But, most was filmed in Hollywood on soundstages. I wonder if that houseboat still exists somewhere??

As I stated earlier I love those old shows and have "homemade" DVD sets of both "Surfside 6" and "Hawaiian Eye!" Even though they were not always truly filmed on location (like "Hawaii Five-0" and "Miami Vice" were) they still were awesome and fun to watch just the same! They did a good job of making you think you were in Hawaii or Miami, and were still entertaining! Both "Surfside 6" and "Hawaiian Eye" need to be officially released to DVD!!!

Here is a link that is very cool. Some of you may have seen this already but I figured I would post it. It is vintage video mostly 60's and 70's from Miami and Miami Beach including Frank Sinatra behind the scenes of the making of Tony Rome 1967 filmed at the 5th Street Gym, Jerry Lewis at the Miami airport for the movie Bellboy, there is even a T.V. editorial complaing that Scarface was going to be filmed in Miami and it would be bad for their image. Lots of cool stuff.http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=wolfsonarchive#g/u
