Burn Notice, Episode 42 Partners in Crime. Just located and posted, the location of the store where Ric and Damon fight. Very close to the stores where the women shop in Golden Triangle and even closer to Caroline's home. Harbor Plaza, Key Biscayne.Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bild

Tony Rome: The lunch scene on the bay with Ann and LT. Santini. Finally confirmed it's location. This scene was filmed at the Sip & Sup Restaurant, 7899 NE Bayshore Ct. There is a condo on the location now and the restaurant building was not there for long.Eingefügtes Bild

A new movie is out which was being filmed in south Beach when I was there last September. It's called "Step Up 4 Miami Heat". It is made for a young audience but I watched a clip on IMDB and there are great shots of Ocean Drive - the section from the Winterhaven at 14th to 15th St.

When my friend Tina & I were awoken at 4am by the film crew who had taken over Ocean Drive to film "THE" film last year, I was hoping it'd be something great to report back to you all on. We watched from our hotel window (we were staying at the hotel next to the Edgewater which features briefly in the scene on IMDB) It was pouring with rain so it is quite funny to watch the video clip on Ocean Drive - now the road is soaking fron rain, now its not. Now the sky is stormy, now its blue. The continuity is cr*p so I hate to think what the rest of the film is like (Matt5 said it wasn't good!) Here's hoping that a good film will come out of Miami again :)

I agree. I've heard that Bad Boys 3 is in pre-production (Will Smith & Marti Lawrence have agreed to be in it) but the release date isn't going to be until 2015. At least on television, Burn Notice is still keeping the Miami/Coconut Grove flag flying :D

If you have seen cocaine cowboys you may recognize this real life location. This is the hq they bought and turned into a radio room. All short wave radio communications with Columbia (which means all communications) were transmitted and received from this Miami location. So the vast majority of cocaine and allot of the marijuanna that came into the US in the 70's and first half of the 80's was controlled thru this building.Eingefügtes BildClose to Howie Wong'sEingefügtes Bild

This picture represents a mystery to me. I do not recognize it but maybe someone here will recognize it right off. This is at the rear of the Coconut Grove Convention Center where Burn Notice now films but this door predates Burn Notice. It was clearly built as a set for some production but I have not placed it and thought someone here may recognize it.Eingefügtes Bild

The block glass on the lefthandside reminds me of Vice. Do you have some sort of list of films made at the Grove or have they mainly been tv eps for other countries?

Just had a thought after posting my last message, could this have been something from the first series of Dexter? I haven't watched it but from what I've read, his home is supposedly in Coconut Grove ... although most of the series is filmed in California, parts have been done around Miami so maybe they used this as a base for the earlier eps or the pilot? They were filmed over a year before Burn Notice. As I said, it is just a thought ...

I have not watched Dexter yet because it is mostly filmed in California due to the TMZ. I hate when they don't film on real locations so I have put off watching it but it is on my mind to get the first season and give it a look. Now I have a better reason.
