Hopefully, someday in the not to distant future we could figure out a day that would likely be good for allot of people, get a boat and have a fun day on the water hitting the Vice spots.

Matt and Charlie- good idea, let me know when you want to do it. I have a friend in the area who can point us to the most reasonable boat rental for a day. Ref the MV tour called "Mystery, Mayhem and Vice Crime Bus Tour in Miami" held twice a year. News to me. Where and when did you hear about it? Thanks.

Okay so this one is a bit off topic as this movie was not filmed in Miami but I saw it again last night and so I figured I would see if anyone recognized this location. Not in Miami area but I still treked up there to see it:Eingefügtes Bild

Is this the scene at the early part of the Star Trek remake where a young James T Kirk drives the vintage Corvette over the cliff? As I am a big Trek fan it finally hit me.

Yeah I did see the trek reference. :)I also thought it strange to have a rock quarry set in Iowa as Iowa to my knowledge is mostly farmland and not known for its quarries if it even has any. Turns out they filmed that on the east coast somewhere. Strange thing to throw into a Trek movie, imo. But did set the stage for JTK being a rabble rouser.

The strange thing is that they used Bakerfield CA. as Iowa and this quarry was in Barre VT.

I have published episode 76/514 of Burn Notice, Breaking Point on my location site. While working on this episode I noticed that the pick up truck that they blow up at the weapon's cache (Coconut Grove Convention Center) is in fact Nate's red ford that had been painted silver for this episode. They had done a partial fire with this same truck in Loose Ends then we saw it again in #26, Truth and Reconciliation. I love finding/realizing these little "inside factoids". I took a photo of Nate's truck back in 2008 while walking around the studio checking things out. It was Redback then, and only recently painted silver/grey.Eingefügtes BildBelow as seen in Breaking point before it is hit by an RPG.Eingefügtes Bild

Some background information on this episode for my location site. The Burn Notice USA web site was void of any real info on this episode. In the Burn Notes section they posted about two scenes being filmed at the studio but that was no help because even at first glance it was clear that both those scenes were obviously at the studio. In the teaser the gang goes into action on location. This one was easy for me because the location they used is not only in an area BN has used several times but the pool Fi and Sam are at is in the building on the former grounds of the Blue Waters Hotel so I recognized the area right away from The Maze and BN. Fiona chases after Ansons car to close out the teaser. I recognize this area from episode 17 of Burn Notice, Scatter Point where Timo gets whacked here so an easy find. Then we go to Ricky's house. They keep him in the same house we saw him in episode 18, Bad Blood and I have come to recognize the neighborhood as BN likes to use this area north of Morningside Park allot. The re-used footage I recognized first as being in Izzy's neighborhood and then I remembered that they had used this spot in episode 74 Dead To Rights. After a quick check I confirmed it was re-used footage. Then back to new footage as they pull up and stop at the corner. I found this location as the background though fuzzy looked like Lincoln Road Mall so on to GE where I looked around a little and quickly found the spot. The parking garage was easy as I was familiar with the unique garage and the Golden House really is in view to the west from the garage. I found the urban looking establishing shot by seeing what looked like Cedars Hospital in the distant bg, combined with the highway. I remembered an area that might fit from 2 Fast 2 Furious and flew there on GE. All matched up, location found. Dolly's house was found by seeing the street number on the house and finding the street with GE comparing the 1600 blk with an overhead metrorail. The morningside Park location was found by recognizing the bg and guessing it was likely in the park. Flew there on GE and confirmed it, finding the exact location including the real life bench seen in the shot. Dion's place I found simply on a hunch that it looked like Eve's place in episode 504, No Good Deed. I checked and lucky me, it was the same place. The college campus scene was a lucky find as I just looked on GE in areas around other locations that were used in the episode for a large grassy area with the unique white wire sculptures. Found it next to where Fi and Sam stopped on Lincoln Lane North. The weapons cache was clearly at the studio with Grove Key Marina looming in the bg. The gang's hideout was an easy find using GE and looking at locations with a highway overhead. Just a basic overview of how I found these locations.

Caddyshack. I was recently contacted by a guy who worked at Rolling Hill CC at the time Caddyshack filmed there. He had some interesting behind the scenes stories. I have updated my site with the location info. One of the interesting items he related was that the pro shop was a set built inside the Rolling Hills Dinning Room because it overlooked the golf course. Remember the hat scene, It looks good on you though... Not a real pro shop but was filmed at RH. He was in the band that played at the dance. The reason they are not in sinc in the movie is that at the time of filming they were playing one song but when the film came out they had substituted in a different song. The addition to the CC, mainly two additional stories added to the top was done in just one week. He also confirmed a couple of spots were where I thought they had been filmed. ite has been updated.

I can almost hear Rodney cracking the one liners. Recalling 'night putting' by Chevy Chase, and the flower scene with Bill Murray hitting an iron.
