There were plenty of topless women at South Beach each time I visited. It made me kind of uncomfortable, to be honest.

i read that Florida is one of the rare US place where bare chest was allowed for women. here in France (and not only) this is allowed on every beach. and personnally it doesn't bother me at all. first you need to understand that women should have the same rights than men; so when temperature is rising they should be allowed to put themselves in a bit more comfortable gear too. second honestly the beach is not uporn neither, one has to refrain a bit himself too

I respect that for sure! Maybe if I was young and single I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable, but being there with your wife is a little strange if you aren’t accustomed to it. At least it was for me.

I think I would feel better about the nudity if I felt more comfortable with my own body. I’ve put on some pounds in the last couple years.  However, I still fit the description of the men being killed in “Love at First Sight”, 5’ 11” 185 pounds. Hardly any muscle... All gut! I used to be 150 like five years ago.

I went once several years ago to the totally nude beach between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. I forget the name. I was going to Ft. Lauderdale for a business trip and I told a female friend I was going. She self invited herself and said we are going to the nude beach down there! I a said oh...ok...

In all honestly, after the first five minutes you don’t feel odd anymore as you realize everyone one the beach isn’t staring, pointing and laughing AT YOU! and truthfully everyone else looks just as out of shape and pathetic as you do so you just fit in.

I think the impression of nude beaches is everyone there looks like folks on a porn set. Truth is, most all the folks on the beach would never be hired for a porn set. 

My only real tip is to wear a good sun block...

i believe it has to do with the way you got raised a bit too. i had a mom, that always told me not to bother too much about what other people think. and personnally  i have absolutely no problem to get naked on the beach. of course when i want to get nude i choose a desert beach. but i did it recently again last month in Corsica. swimming like this gives a really pleasant feeling of freedom. like a aunt of mine said once, we didn't arrive on earth with a suitcase

Haulover park. I live about 20 minutes from it. Before this current Hurricane came around, I was planning on going there myself. I'm not in the greatest shape but as others here have said, no one on a nude beach usually is lol.

some nudist beaches how could i say are more swinging than nudist. which is not for me, without commenting on more. but you can come across really beautiful women on (real) nudist beaches. they look so natural, they are really appealing

Many years ago, I’m thinking it was the early 90’s, a buddy and me were in Malibu, actually Paradise Cove, where Rockford had his trailer in the TV series.  He mentioned that just a mile or so up PCH around Point Dume was a nudist beach.  We went to Windward Beach and hiked around the point and, just as he said, there was everyone in their glory.  I bring it up because this was a pretty isolated spot and I would definitely say it was a bit of a swinger’s spot.  It was definitely more than just sunbathing.  There was pretty open use of drugs and alcohol and the people were very friendly, oddly so I thought at the time. My buddy and I didn’t hang around.  It was really strange, to be honest, and I’m not a prude by any stretch.  To each his own, I guess.
 

I also wanted to add something to the topic of swinging in general.  I learned just a few years ago that a teacher where I have worked for 25 years, now retired, was a swinger.  I never would have pegged her for it in a million years!  She reminded me of my grandma!  Not only was she a swinger, but apparently back in the 70’s, she and her husband and some neighbors swapped partners once, then, eventually divorced and remarried the other partner and lived in the same houses!!!  It boggles my mind, but a good friend of mine, also retired, went to the wedding when she remarried.  I still haven’t completely got my head around it.  Again, to each his own I guess.
