LNGLK
Can anybody comment on it?
Administrators timm525 Posted March 8, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 It says "Barges and Tugs Landing Craft".I would guess it is for boats/planes licensing or registrations?
COOPER&BURNETT
It says "Barges and Tugs Landing Craft".I would guess it is for boats/planes licensing or registrations? That's how I would understand it too. However, I don't think it's open to the public, as the OCB wasn't open to the public.
LNGLK
. However' date=' I don't think it's open to the public, as the OCB wasn't open to the public.[/quote'] Then why is the inscription?
Administrators timm525 Posted March 8, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 I always kinda thought OCB wasn't a stand alone building and that there was more there than the undercover division. It may have been one building that was connected to a much larger complex behind it. The OCB part may have been a secured building that was not open to the public but the other parts could have been. Perhaps they blended the public works in with them or that was in a different wing. No one would really know who or what they did anyways. And don't forget in season 5 when Sonny turned himself in to OCB and Castillo had Stan take him down to be booked, you see the guy in handcuffs being escorted by the uniformed cop and he says something like, "...I never thought you'd turn...that guy used to be the best cop..." So there had to be more to OCB then just the undercover unit and or it was just one section of a building that connected to other buildings.Just my opinion.
Crockettt
Well, as far as i know all scenes of OCB Interior were filmed in Greenwich Studios (not in original OCB building). So, why the inscription "Barges and Tugs Landing Craft" was used there ?
DefinitelyCrockett
I am relatively new to all this & have been trying to figure out the location of OCB relative to everything else. I figured that with all those other people coming and going (ie the 'extras') that there are other sections there somewhere??
Bren 10
Perhaps a leftover from the Miami Ship Building co that was there originally?
LNGLK
So' date=' why the inscription "Barges and Tugs Landing Craft" was used there ?[/quote'] That is the question
DefinitelyCrockett
I agree with Bren 10 - I reckon it's probably from whatever the building was previously. They left the 'Gold Coast Shipping Co' signage on the front of the building, so they probably left all the interior stuff as well - that way, even the building they worked from was 'undercover' too! summer84
I took a note of this, when I watched the episode and was also wondering about the sign, why it's there if (what I read) every scene was filmed at Ivan Tors Studios at the time? Unless it was added there as a part of recreating OCB's real interior? Just guessing. Edited August 22, 2017 by summer84
