My plans for my Daytona replica

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_123879-Buick-Grand-National-1986.htmlbut they killed that car because it was actually faster than the vette of that time period.and with the C5 I'm not sure about what the body was made out of but they did a bunch of key things to it to make it more european like instead of muscle car like, like putting on that transaxel for better weight distribution like on the actual car

I'm not a Vette expert by any means but thought the C3 was fiberglass. Have a look herehttp://www.tracyvette.com/fiberglassc3a.htmlMaybe some others can weigh in here....if I'm right then still doesn't explain why the mechanic would say my Daytona is noticeably faster.

Those are aftermarket, not factory, fiberglass parts are typically and aftermarket only kinda thing. and my car is a 2011 jetta sport wagon S in red with a black interior and its an inline 5 cylinder like the UR quattro so its got more torque than horsepower, 170 hp and 177 foot pounds of torque.although it doesnt quite sound like the quattro because it doesnt have a turbo like that one did:

close though when you put your foot in it.

Yeah I'd go for the black center console if not only for the fact that wood needs to be taken care of with wood polish and it would probably crack in warm weather. Also most vette's had that black center console like the camera car now has so replacement parts would be easy to find.180 not 185, the top speed of the actual car is 177 mph, a proven top speed too not like on the DB5 or the E type where you'd be topping out at a 130 like most of those cars in that time period.and I'd be more than happy if it could ONLY do a 130, and I just like the ring of a 180:

plus with the C5 engine and tranny mixed with an overhauled suspension, brakes and stiffened chassis and body it could very well do a 180, and 180 seems to be the new 130 these days and 240 seems to be the new 180.mind you the most fun is between 40 - 100, the 180 thing would be if I actually took the thing over to europe after going speed crazy and overhauling it like that.and with the steering column look close, its got a momo adapter on it and the rest of the steering column is the same color as the dash:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3825&stc=1&d=1308278623with the steering wheel size I went from an old car with a steering wheel that's 14.5 inches in diamiter to a new one thats 14 and the 14 feels noticibily smaller and I just kinda liked the bigger area the 14.5 had that fit my hand a little better.and with the door pannel ill explain latter but I'm thinking of going with something similar to what the camera car originally had, basically the stock door pannel with a different arm rest.

This site also supports the all fiberglass body as well. http://www.ehow.com/how_5898776_repair-c3-corvette-fiberglass.html

I dont know I though they were steel like the muscle cars of that era although there is a mention on wikipedia about them switching from a fiberglass floor to a steel one in 1976.and this.http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-tech-performance/352447-c3-fiberglass.htmlBut I read through some sort of corvette wiki awhile back about all of the changes throught the years and I cant remember it ever bringing up that the body was fiberglass, maybe it wasnt straight fiberglass per say but rather plastic reinforced with fiberglass.so maybe I'm wrong in that sense but pure fiberglass could be lighter than plastic reinforced with fiberglass.

So not sure of why it would be faster. Did look through my sales literature today and it described a 9 to 1 power to weight ratio for the standard 350 engine. Need to scan these docs and post them here. Some of them are very interesting. Details on the car I bought as well as assembly info, sales literature, photos of the California Spyder, etc. Maybe a new thread?

Okay slight change with the dash, I like the tan colored carpet under the dash of Jurrasics and that mixed with the burlwood looks great, plus that carpet really brightens up that part of the interior:Eingefügtes BildVS the MV car:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3857&stc=1&d=1308464656So after seeing how good it looks on jurrasics car (this is the first time I've really gotten a good close up of it) I'd probably go for that myself INCLUDING the burlwood center console except with a thinner kind of carpet for the dash to make it look sleaker or have that part done up in the same leather the dash and the seats are made out of, IMO jurrasic without a doubt that dash is beautiful.and Sonny the reason why I've changed my mind on this is because the center console just looks too matt looking in its current form, something I was thinking about yesterday so maybe a gloss black center console would also work as an alternative to this like on the Aston Martin DBS, the new versionEingefügtes BildMinus the power rangers leg as Clarkson put it, seriously what a dumb looking shifter, hell it looks more like you should be able to remove it and shave with it after driving!and speaking of which Ill cover my idea for that and the door pannels/ arm rests tommorow or so finally and then the seats/ tonau cover. sorry if I'm kinda not sticking to my own schedule on this, I think of one thing and then I think of another once I get more info on it.

Now with the shift knob I think I know why the one that was on the car was removed after it left the show.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3908&stc=1&d=1308674965http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3910&stc=1&d=1308674968it didnt really look like it would fit into the ball of your hand as well as the stock ball like one that's now on the camera car because of how much more the shift button ITSELF sticks out, so Carl probably removed it and replaced it with the stock one because he thought the stock one fit his hand better.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3907&stc=1&d=1308674963http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3909&stc=1&d=1308674967so what I'm thinking of going with is a more rounded version of that on the top (where it mates with your hand) with the same general shape of the camera cars old shift nob like on the corvette C4 and maybe a cut down shift button to go along with it.Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildhowever in this case I'd go with a matt shifter like the one the car had on the show to contrast the wood console, although to be honest I kinda like the wood one here too, But the bottomline here is that I just dont care for that ball shifter.

Now with the door panels I want to either go with what the camera car has now:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3914&stc=1&d=1308681176or the rowley corvette door panelsEingefügtes Bildbut not what it had on the show, to an extent.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3913&stc=1&d=1308681173what I'm thinking of doing is mounting the arm rest further up the door since it seems like its too low to really be useful, hence why PMT always had his hand ontop of the door instead of inside the cabin:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3915&stc=1&d=1308681452http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3919&stc=1&d=1308683222except without a grab handle since it was never really that needed to begin with as it seemed PMT was able to stay in place without it during the stunts:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3918&stc=1&d=1308683101similar to the shape this bentley has:Eingefügtes Bildor with a grab handle and just have it mostly below the arm rest like on jurrasics car:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3911&stc=1&d=1308681167but just below the door handle so during a high speed maneuver you dont bang into ithttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3917&stc=1&d=1308681783now the other reason why I dont want to have the grab handle mounted in an upwards position like on the camera car now is because..... well.... you just cant really rest your hand on the armrest with it rigged up that way. kinda defeating the whole purpose of the arm rest in the first place like on my old car (which has been replaced I might add) since the grab handle blocked where you'd rest your hand on it so you never really felt that comfortable putting your entire arm on there.Eingefügtes Bild

A few quick things before I get to the key points with the seats and the tonau cover Rear View Mirror:I'd go for one that's not as long as the one that's on the MV car:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3942&stc=1&d=1308723447but one that's thicker in the middle like on the actual car because it seems to work better and it blocks less of the windshield, painted matt black by the way.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3941&stc=1&d=1308723446Door handles:I'd go with the MV cars door handles http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3944&stc=1&d=1308723618instead of the rowley corvette door handles that mimic the actual carhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3943&stc=1&d=1308723617 simply because I like them better and the extra chrome it adds to the bodySunvisiors:I'd have them mounted in the middle rather than on the very front of them like the MV car had: http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3945&stc=1&d=1308724338so they wouldnt block my vision and my head and I'd also get them trimmed down so they werent so big like they did here on the rowley version, hard to see from the photos but that's the point.Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bild So they wouldnt stick out of the windshield for everyone to see from 30 feet away:Eingefügtes Bild and block your vision and annoy the hell out of you and I'd also have them made in the same color as the interior, tan not black

Friendly advice. I to am a huge Miami Vice fan. I don't want to crush anyones dream. So I 'll say it like this. Damn near new Testarossa's are still available. You might not get a white one but... several red ones are out there. All under 85,000. Try cars.com used Ferrari's. Just some advice.

I know but you gotta remember what exactly your dealing with, a V12 Ferrari with a weak clutch (the same thing that pissed of the late Mr. Lamborghini that caused him to create his brand of cars in the first place) that has to be replaced every either 10,000 or 15,000 miles for 5 grand a pop, plus everything else is super expensive and the Testarossa is kinda ugly from the front.hell the ONLY way I'd buy one is if it was a 86/87 with a left wing mirror, magnesium rims, and in black mettalic like the Vice car originally was:Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildwith this interior and a different steering wheel:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4007&stc=1&d=1309316963VS how it looked in whiteEingefügtes Bildand keep in mind I took these shots and let me tell you its very hard to make the testarossa look good because of how that white color brought out the boxyness of the nose of that car and here's the ugliest shot of it, and this was its INTRO shot! and the above one is one of the last ones of it from Freefall, it took them 3 years to find a good angle to make it look good!Eingefügtes Bildand even then your forgetting the biggest problem with it, its V12 motor that does 8, 8 MPG on a good day, 8 Highway 5 city. A modern Lamborghini Murcielago SV LP670 with double the horsepower of the testarossa are now are doing 20 MPG with a V12 with 600 hp and with that V8 the MV car had or even a modern Vette motor are getting a minimal of that as well, hell I think its 18 city 35 highway for a vette with a modern engine that delivers the same amount of horsepower as the testarossas V12 at the same rpm or a little under it, delivering the same performance for double or even tripple the mileage.plus theres some pretty incredibile stuff you can do to a vette that you couldnt with the testarossa, like tear out the entire chasis and replace it with a modern unit without changing the bodybasically the jist of this (and this thread) is that while the testarossa looked more professionally constructed in the show all the daytona needed was a few little touch ups here and there In my opinion to look as professionaly constructed as the testarossa other than that a daytona replica or otherwise simply blows the testarossa out of the water, and I mean CLEAR out of the water!Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes BildEingefügtes BildSo it just aint worth it, actually its kinda like that old addage you always marry a woman with a pretty face, because your going to be staring at it for quite some time, same thought here. you go for a car with a good looking front end for the same reason and the testarossa and its revision the 512tr never did fix the front end and even then when someone took the better looking front end of the 512m and stuck it on a 512tr it was just okay lookinghttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4008&stc=1&d=1309318167while looking at a daytona its a work of artEingefügtes Bildsame thing with the f355 and all modern ferrari's really, there just okay looking and just not what there supposed to be, spectacular looking and unlike anything else on the road and the daytona replica used on MV is that plus its PRACTICAL to boot, and you can shift it when you want to have some fun with or leave it in automatic when you dont, its just the ideal car for me despite my name and the connotation that goes along with it.and honestly if I had the MV car I'd leave the way it is and if I did change anything I'd make sure it could be easily switched back to the way it was and I'd keep everything I took off it, hell the only thing I'd ever consider changing is the grill, everything else is subjective and even then I'm starting to think the grill looks fine on it and it was just the way the car was shot in S2 that made it look wrong on the car.and keep in mind this thread is not about what I'd do to the MV Markadian car, Car 4 if I had it, this is about what I'd do to my OWN Mcburnie/ Rowley corvette. Screwing with the MV car to this extent would be like taking an original war torn GI .45 M1911 from WW2 with a nice patina to it and a story to go along with it and having someone refinish it in chrome, tear out the barrel and number of other things to make it a match gun, that's just WRONG in SO many ways and levels. however I kinda like to think of this as a what if kinda deal when it comes to the third MV Daytona if Ferrari hadnt intervened and Carl had made that third car for the show, what would it look like?So in an odd way this is just my interpretation of what the third car would look like from a modern perspective and keep in mind I'm not the kind of person who would just thow something away because its old and antiquated from someone elses perspective, on the contrary, all the better for it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Now for the insulation of the interior I'd go for Dynamat insulation to put underneath the carpet, since Leno has said nothing but good things about it and Jurrasic said he was also using it for his car as wellhttp://www.jaylenosgarage.com/extras/articles/jay-leno-a-firm-believer-in-restomodding---article/index.php?page=2http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/at-the-garage/muscle-cars/restoration-blog-1966-ford-galaxie-ultimate-edition/as for the carpet color itself with a tan interior like the show car I'd go for black carpet to match it just like the show car has:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4269&stc=1&d=1310177550Although if I was to go with a cream interior I'd be tempted to try and mimic this color combination to an extenthttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4270&stc=1&d=1310177553http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4273&stc=1&d=1310177558http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4272&stc=1&d=1310177556Although the key to making it look good regardless of what leather color you go with is NOT to go with the same color carpet as the leather othewise it'll seem to overload the color of the leather like here http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4271&stc=1&d=1310177554and make it seem bloated and overdone, not to mention the dash color on that one which is in the same color as the MV cars dash is frankly hideous in chocolate brown vs how it looks with a black carpet and dash:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4275&stc=1&d=1310178528Mind you that looked alright on the actual Daytona with its all black dash seen here:Eingefügtes Bildhttp://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/14122/index.html?no_cache=1&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1

Now with the post pilot "Brothers Keeper" seats my main gripe with them was that the top half just seemed stubby from head on like the top of the seats needed to be higher and fuller to look abit more balanced and suit the car better.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4283&stc=1&d=1310193510http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4284&stc=1&d=1310193556like here with Crockett's Third Season 645 (and this is his actual blank firing gun from the show, I found this photo on the IMFDB)http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4279&stc=1&d=1310193119vs a 645 with Novak Sights, which in my opinion looks and suits it far better than the stock sights.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4280&stc=1&d=1310193121Same deal here with the seats so what I'm thinking of doing is going with a set of seats that just have a fuller top on them like the testarossa seats.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4282&stc=1&d=1310193124 Simliar to the seats on this Red Mcburniehttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4281&stc=1&d=1310193122With the styling of the Camera Cars Seats, Specifically the Daytona striping and Pilot headrest and I have found a pretty close candidate for it from a really bizzare place but I'll get into that latter.

Turns out that the seats of that reciently recommissioned 1974 Corvette Mcburnie Daytona replica are actually off of a Pontiac Fiero http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4325&stc=1&d=1310640283http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4318&stc=1&d=1310636386http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4324&stc=1&d=1310640269Here's the website about the conversionhttp://corvettec3.ca/fiero.htmEingefügtes BildThat have ontop of that been reupholsted in leather by a company called Mr. Mikes Leatherhttp://mrmikes.com/http://mrmikes.com/corvettes.htmTurns out that someone found that those seats are actually more comfortable than the normal Corvette seats supposedly because the base of the seat sits lower than the stock ones thus giving you more leg room and that all that needs to be done is to switch over the Corvette seat mounting rails for the Fiero ones for them to be fittedand even the Mustang guys have been making the conversion on their cars too:http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/mod-custom-forum/573295-fiero-seats.htmlbut the really funny thing is that atleast from what little I saw of the pilot seats in the pilot here

Just found a proof of concept here with the toned down daytona striping like on car 1 there pre pilot done up by some guy who thought he was working on THEE MV daytona:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4330&stc=1&d=1310743219http://www.flickr.com/photos/shamrockride/5346407660/in/photostreamVs the MV cars seats:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4322&stc=1&d=1310638281I also forgot to mention this, one of the four options for the seats I want to go with is a cut down fiero seat with the Rowley corvette headrests in place of the normal fiero ones like on the french rowley here:Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildsince honestly the rest of the rowley seat doesnt look that comfortable to begin with and according to jurrasic they arent.Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildwhile the headrest itself does look nice in profile So it comes down to four choices for me:1. the 1978 style seats with the reduced striping on the lower section like here:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4330&stc=1&d=1310743219but other than that exactly like the ones on the MV car post pilot2. the normal fiero seat with the reduced daytona striping 3. fiero seat, daytona striping minus the normal headrest which will be replaced by a custom fabricated one to match the pilot seats4. fiero seat, daytona striping, removed built in headrest and replaced with the rowley headrest.

You know its funny I knew this was going to happen when I started this thread, I keep finding alot of great looking cars that happen to be mcburnies and not the rowley corvettes like that french replica that I liked the best a number of years ago when I first found it and honestly I'm starting to lean far more towards the mcburnies with the full flares and gril rather than the rowley vettes after seeing alot of great examples like Sonny's car there, problem was that the bad ones were the only ones that showed up when you type mcburnie in in google image searchlike this one tha poped up when I typed in "painted tornado mirrors" today with a chrome windshield like the stunt car, granted the grill looks like its been kicked in and I dont care for the prancing horse on it but other than that I really like the exterior on ithttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4356&stc=1&d=1311217205http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4357&stc=1&d=1311217207or this one with the tan top instead of a black one like the MV car and everyone else has that I seriously like, plus I like the headlight setup of it thats very simliar to the MV car, except the inner most headlight is mounted further in than the outer one, reversing the optical illusion that bugged me on the MV car when the highs were on in close up shots http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4354&stc=1&d=1311217201http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4355&stc=1&d=1311217203and actually I like it better than the volo car set up that has them mounted right next to each other, where they were lined up completely flat:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4358&stc=1&d=1311217211 and I think this one is a mcburnie too except that someone cut the grill down http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3682&stc=1&d=1306907220(you can see that the edges of the grill look to be exactly like the other mcburnie grils)and because it was a latter mcburnie I guess the angle wasnt as sharp as it is on the MV car, thus preventing some of the lighting up trouble the MV car had IMO during the second season. so what I think im going to do is go with a latter mcburnie like Sonny's car as the base car, go with the cutdown gril and if the headlights are spaced like they are on the MV car I'm going to try and reduce the gap between the headlights, but leave some gap as I like the look it had at certain angles where it looked like they were very close together like it is in my profile pic from Freeverse where because of the angling of it it just gave off a really nice illumiation to it there is one other key thing though I didnt touch on with the nose that Ill go over tommorow and it ties into why I liked the S1 look with the badge infront of the hood rather than inbetween the headlights like it is now, although honestly I've gotten used to that too and its starting to grow on me.

This may or may not help you, but here it is.The Rowley headrest came from vintage barber chairs. They were simply covered in leather to match the seat and the slots for the headrest were adjusted to fit the seats. The carpet is wool carpet, and it does make a differnce when you are looking at the car up close. You can find replacment carpet in rolls on EBay. They usually say that it is a replacement carpet for a BMW. The wool carpet, even though it may not be Wilton Wool, adds to the overall appearance.I enjoy reading your observations on the various aspects of the car. Please keep it up.JN

Thanks now the main thing that bugged me about the S2 appearance on the nose was that the plexyglass was too dark and made the cars seem featurelesshttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4367&stc=1&d=1311297319VS your car where its light enough so you can see the headlights from all of the angles which looks goodhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4368&stc=1&d=1311297321and I also noticed something else today while watching "The Hitlist" during S1 they either waxed or polished the mirrors on the car to match the body and then they didnt bother doing it for the rest of the show which caused it to stick out against the cars polished body like the Grill did in S2's tale of the goat, plus that gloss black piece the put under the bottom of the car for the camera mount that made the car look odd at certain angles like here when the light reflected off of it:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4369&stc=1&d=1311298332

Now theres a key thing about the MV car now I'd like to go into, which explains why the car seemed so sleak during the second season yet not in the first to many peopleBecause the MV car had the chrome infront of its headlights pre MV I think the chrome was only there to intensify the headlights light so it could penetrate the darkened plexyglass that was too dark for it to normally go through it and when they took off the smoked plexyglass it had an odd effect with the light which made the nose look bigger than it should like in these shots at odd angleshttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4371&stc=1&d=1311298575http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4372&stc=1&d=1311298578Eingefügtes Bildand when that part is completely black and matches the rest of the car it makes the nose look far better IMOhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4373&stc=1&d=1311298579its much more noticibile on this one because of the color:http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4370&stc=1&d=1311298572and the MV car is the only Daytona Replica I've seen thus far with the chrome infront of the headlights, so thats why when compaired to other similar replicas something about the MV car looks off and less sleaker than the othershowever oddly the ferrari badge further up the nose balanced that effect out in S1 and made it look better like it is here IMO:Eingefügtes Bildwhich just kinda works compaired to how it is now although I've gotten use to how it is now.also as I sidenote I think that this is the rear view mirror it had in the pilot, which is also a vitaloni like the side mirrors.http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfa-romeo-parts-sale-wanted/181273-vitaloni-rear-view-mirrors-30891-a.html

However just for the sake of doing something different I do want to see if the Audi UR Quattro's single lens Cibie headlights would work on one of them.0:16

it is one of my favorite sedans after all because its an overlooked classic just like the old vettes from the 1980's which is always a plus for me just like the porsche 914 and Opel GT (the first one) my father had experience with in germany at the time they were new.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/04/Opel_GT%2C_Bj._1973_am_16.07.2006.jpghttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fe/VW_Porsche_914.jpgand its just in my nature I gotta go against the flow and try something different, after all nothing ventured nothing gained.and the original 1981 quattro had the headlights set up more or less exactly like they were on the MV car so I gotta wonder what it would look like with the latter headlights of the quattro, would it have the same effect of making it look sleaker as well?3:08

Basically I have two ideas for the headlight configuration based on the plexyglass condition, however these are both with the cutdown latter mcburnie grills in mindhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3682&stc=1&d=1306907220If I go with the smoked plexyglass/lexan (if I live in a hot climate) I want to try out the audi ur quattro post 1982 cibile headlights on it to prevent this from happeninghttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3693&stc=1&d=1307075504making it look like thishttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3691&stc=1&d=1307051484 and I want to make the plexyglass less dark like Jurrasic has done so not only can more light escape from ithttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4419&stc=1&d=1311876963 but it also looks more blue like the midnight blue of the daytona which when polished up looked like this http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4420&stc=1&d=1311877089adding to the look of the car greatly like in jurrasics profile shotNow if I go for the clear plexyglass I want to keep the 2x2 unit system of the normal car and move the badge further up the nose to complete the evan lookEingefügtes Bild minus the chrome infront of the headlights which makes the nose look wider that it should when the light hits it.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3695&stc=1&d=1307075507http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4354&stc=1&d=1311217201and if the idiosyncratic badge starts to bother me I'll just put it inbetween the headlights like it is now on the MV car and with the placement of headlight units, I want to try three configurations1. the inner most headlight is further inhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4354&stc=1&d=13112172012. the inner most headlight is right next to the other one like on the Volo Speed Zone carhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4358&stc=1&d=13112172113. the inner most is further out than the outer headlight but not quite as far as it is on the MV car to prevent this optical illusion from happening.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3696&stc=1&d=1307075509now with the headlight covers while they look good they make the car somehow seem featureless compaired to the plexyglass ones, like the overly smoked plexyglass looked at some angles so I don't think I'd go for themhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4367&stc=1&d=1311297319Eingefügtes Bild

Now theres one other option I didn't get into, circular headlights.personally as long as there in the same position as they are on the MV car they look great with the inner most ones further out than the outer ones.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4419&stc=1&d=1311876963http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4422&stc=1&d=1311878188Eingefügtes Bildhowever when their both perfectly lined up it looks oddhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4421&stc=1&d=1311878186and I havent seen any in the other configuration either with the inners further in that the outer ones, so in this regard I'd only go with them in the MV cars position.
