Posted: 16 May 2006 at 5:01pm by DanJI tend to agree with ya, Jeremy. Not to diminish the historic value of the Jai-Alai fronton, but IMO the bridge is a tad bit more important in the overall Vice canon. I forget which episode, but that bridge was used at least one other time as the site where a murdered hooker's body was found (I'm gonna guess it was Rites Of Passage).Further down the river, near 27th Avenue, is the site where the pilot episode's speedboat chase scene began. There is a bridge at that end where cars pass that resembles the train bridge. There is what used to be a 7-11 there, whose sign can be seen in the scene where Tubbs speeds off in Crockett's boat after the botched sting operation, in the background behind the bridge. They filmed a scene for the new Vice movie somewhere in that area as well.Posted: 26 May 2006 at 5:59am by airtommy Jai Alai http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jai_alaiPosted: 26 May 2006 at 12:54pm by DanJAs Izzy - the master of convoluted logic - might say, "The weener eez the one who doesn't lose." I was watching "The Cows Of October" and there is a scene that was filmed at the train bridge near the Jai-Alai fronton. It is about halfway through the episode and is a Vice "Spaghetti Western" spoof complete with soundtrack music from "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" and Izzy doing his best (Or worst) Man With No Name impersonation.Izzy: "I should be martinized for trying to prevent WW III."Switek: "Get up, bonehead, before we martinize you right into the ground!"Posted: 27 May 2006 at 3:27am by airtommyI saw that same scene the other day with the Jai Alai in the background, but you beat me to posting it. Watching some of Seasons 3-5 now, I am recognizing a lot of locations.

Other locations are quite standard in this episode . Including Miami Jai-alai, West Flagler Street and the Greenberg Taurig building which had just been constructed on Brickell at that time .

Nice photo Matt.  I believe all the locations in Killshot have been found.  BTW María Duval who played Isabell Batista in this episode is amazing.  Strangely she quit acting after Killshot and apparently dropped out of public view.

Interesting Jim - I liked Maria Duvall very attractive - she only ever starred in four television shows / movies in her career then disappeared your'e right.

Can really see how three episodes in to Season 3 how even more so this is the Don Johnson Show , :D  :)   :done:

Found this old photo of the Tivoli Theater we see in the background when Crockett pulls up to the La Libertad Café.  Not a very exciting photo but it's the only one I have found and may be the only one period.

Very nice Jim thanks for posting -

Is the Jai-Alai Fronton closing - I noticed it looked very run down - more so than usual in February and was not open a lot at all :hippie:

Unfortunately it's likely, have heard It's in trouble.  It looked bad when I was there 10 yrs ago.  Maybe making it a casino would help?

There was a casino there already Jim I noticed a few years ago but in February it was closed and all the road was up outside - I don't hold much hope either :hippie:

@C Glidehas some scenes(Tico´s apartment, Tico "kills" the girl, Morales calls from somewhere) marked as unknown. I solved/confirmed all of these location-wise.

In fact, all interior scenes with Tico and Frank together and alone were filmed inside 40S. Hibiscus Drive, as the floor and the walls/windows clearly give away. The scene where Tico "kills" the girl, was also filmed there, as the floor is the same as in some other scenes and the bathroom beside has the same look as other furniture around plus this excludes a studio set.

The Morales on the phone scene was filmed on his yacht, as proven by the same statue and curtain as with Silvio in the day scene on the boat which was moored also at Hibiscus Drive, as the cranes behind indicate.

All the more reason for one of us to buy that house and throw a big Miami Vice party!

I thought you wanted to buy the Traynor party house (without hookers). Did you reschedule?

Morales´home (also used by Ramirez in Give a little) on South Hibiscus Drive was heavily remodelled shortly before 2010. Not to its advantage IMHO. New yes, but lost its soul and won bad taste (who the heck adds a black vintage classic chandelier to a white modern tropical bauhaus style?

On the pictures below we get some memories from the episodes with the cranes in the background and the interior spiral staircase.
