Such a wonderful small composition with great musical logic, symmetry and wistful depth of feeling. There's nothing random about it, though certainly it is arranged after-thefact But the thing that amazes me is that that improvisation is no accident. It's not like Nora thinks the piano is her mother, she knows what she's doing! Not only does this show tool use, but how is musical syntax much different than linguistic syntax?
