I was just watching the chase scene the other night and noticed that their appears to be a distinct decal or viynl labeling on the left side of the car, but nothing else including a licence plate of all things, theirs not even a hole to mount one on the rear from

well it was just one of those things where I was thinking okay wheres the licence plate on the thing when I first saw it, you know did he steal it and how has a cop car not pulled him over for a missing plate yet?it is a bright white large sports car after all and unfortunately if you want to squander the fine lines of a car like that theres no other color that can quite do that like a dull white, although the testarossa only got away with it because of its black accents and cream/ light tan interior and the fact that they knew enough to use blue lighting to give the color definition at night like in the stones war chase or this photoEingefügtes Bildand let me tell you the photographer earned his money with that shot, ill tell you that much as he actually made the car look cool from the front which is a hard thing to do with a brightly colored testarossa which ill be getting into soon enough on my thread. anyways it also means that every part of the car really shows up at night and I just so happened to stop at that particular frame when I was taking shots of the daytona again and I was like hey wait a minute, what does that say? although that still doesnt explain how the hell crockett knew what the car was, I'd sincearly doubt even as a sports car lover and a fan of porsches as he was driving one in 1980 in the show would even know what a 906 looks like letalone the fact that its a 906, unless he got a good look at that decal on the sidehell I only knew of it because of that article in the porsche mag excelence from a few months ago with that blue 904 in it, although I bought that particular issue because of the article on an all original 365 from the middle 50's with a really unique color scheme and the article on the high reving carrera 4 model which was something leno only reciently aquired and hopefully will show on his website soon.after all just because I think and know that the 911 is a deathtrap doesnt mean I cant still like them just for their looks and hemi 6 cylinder engine after all.
