I'm just a traditionalist, I guess. Still love my .45ACP, although I do prefer the 3rd Gen Smiths to the classic M1911 platform. The third gen Smiths always felt more like a combination of the 1911 and the Hi-Power to me. That and there's just something about stainless steel... I actually didn't know until recently that there were 10mm revolvers. Before I left law enforcement I was carrying S&W M&P .40 which I really liked. It felt good in my hand and I never had any issues with it. You can't beat a .45 though!
Jeff_Cooper
For my main wheel gun use (ipsc revolver just for fun) I don't find 10 mm that interesting. .45 acp with faster reloads would be another story but I guess that would mean moving to Smith & Wesson and I'm quite partial to gp100 -J

It's got a good feel and the two extra rounds are nice, but my 3rd gen Smiths are still my regular carry pieces. And I've got the old Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt just because... There were always people shooting 10mm. What made it seem out of date was a lack of ammunition company support. That's changing now, both due to demand and a wider variety of folks making factory ammo. You really see this in rifles, but it's trickling down to pistols, too. Edited January 26, 2020 by Robbie C. Gary1911A1
At the SHOT Show CZ Custom had a CZ97 they had converted to 10MM. As I recall the cost of the conversion was going to be $550 on top of the cost of the factory CZ97 in .45ACP so total cost of base pistol and conversion would be around $1100 to $1200. damrod
Would be nice to have if I had money. I prefer my Colt Officers ACP for carry myself.
Kavinsky
Honestly I've been kinda tempted by the 610 series myself when it comes to the idea of a 10mm revolver, like a snub nose 3 inch with 41 magnum power, and the option to use the much more plentiful .40 ammo, plus I know of a way to get around the damn loading issue with the moonclips, as I came across this years ago at the 4:00 minute mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYLeTqmLFpE and that seems ideal for it problem is finding one without the key lock for a decent price, but thankfully sig sauers been going nuts putting out the ammo for it, and its gotten to the point where the stuff's actually cheaper than most magnum ammo, hell its only 4 bucks more than a box of 45, plus with a revolver you dont need to worry about fitting it with 22 to 24 pounds springs like I've heard of people having to do with that bren ten clone, the EAA witness or really replacing those after heavy use, after all, it is a .41 in an autoloader and you see how big the desert eagle had to be to handle 357 and unlike the coonan, its stil in production and not too unobtanium with its pricing and how weird is it that we live in a world where the Python's coming back but not the big ole badass looking bren ten? as that is STILL a beautiful design. damn vltor, if you cant make it work in 10 just release it in .45 or .40 as no one's gonna say no to that thing, also I kinda half wonder if it might be in the next gta game even if it doesnt come out either as it showed up in the art work for one of the casino machines in the online mode. miamijimf
Just picked up a new Springfield XD-M 5.25 in 10mm. Awesome weapon and accurate. Had to have a 10mm. As the video says its like a 40 cal magnum. Anyone else own or fired this weapon yet?
