Prop - Ray Bans Used in the show!!!!As many of you know my father was a running double on the show. He was able to "borrow" two props actually used on the show!!!!! Here is a pair of Ray-Ban 5024 that Don Johnson used in Season 4!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing them with us. I always like to see what our members have found in the way of props or anything related to Vice. You will love Coop's collection. I think it is awesome that your dad had a connection to the show. And I am happy to see that you are hooked after watching the show with your dad. The 80s were great, and Vice was and still is the best.

THE BEGINNINGS OF A MIAMI VICE COLLECTION

Great stuff beatleboylevi!:thumbsup:The season 4 sunglasses are a real gem' date=' especially if they where worn by Don Johnson!Keep up the good work![/quote']I truly envy your connection with show through your fathers experience. Thank you for sharing some nice artifacts from the series. I do have a copy of the book " The Making of Vice" which may be in slightly better shape than yours. Paperbacks are very hard to preserve. I am especially blown away at those "borrowed" Wayfarers and that Laserdisc. Keep up the good work and please continue to share anything else you might discover.

How cool! Your starting a collection. I highly encourage it.I too have the Cd and tape, book, and laserdisc! Dude, your on your way! Keep 'em coming! :thumbsup:I have a comment. The photos of the sunglasses you provided shows it's a model 5024, not a 5022. Don Johnson wore 5022's in season one and two, not the larger 5024's. I have an actual pair of 5022's with "flat" lenses from the production. Flat lenses don't reflect images on the lenses so the camera doesn't see the camera or crew reflected in them. Is it possible that the production gave your dad regular large size 5024 ray ban wayfarers to help conseal his face so you couldn't tell it was Don Johnson?

Excellent.:thumbsup:Also learnt why the sun glasses didn't show the reflection of the camera crew, in some front on shots. You learn something everyday.:)
