Matt5
1000 Venetian Way featured heavily in this Don Johnson directed episode from early 1987 is such an interesting building as from the upper balconies facing south you get a wraparound view of the islands to the beach, MacArthur Cswy and Downtown. They utilised the view to the Islands (Venetian Islands, Palm, Hibiscus, Star) in “By Hooker, By Crook”. In “Heart of Darkness” they utilised the view to Downtown but if I remember correctly there was no balcony. Matt5
I visited 1000 Venetian Way last week during the day and evening - this condo was heavily in this episode and “Heart of Darkness” - and where Sonny had dinner with Christine Von Marburg. The rear pool terrace used as an outdoor restaurant effectively in this episode directed by Don himself.

Tom
Izzy´s boudoir photography was "Suzanne´s Chinese Restaurant" before. See picture below from 1984. A company check on sunbiz.org did not yield anything on that name, but the reverse check on the neighbor computer company behind Crockett ("Bhitap Int´l") came up with an address of 273A NE 2ND ST. which is exactly that spot on Google Maps. The Hotel Toledo where the Biscayne General Merchandise store was with a "202" sign had an address of 204 Biscayne on the door step as this old photo proves. I did find three defunct restaurants at 204 Biscayne Bvd. in the 1970s-early 80s. Accordingly, Izzy´s photo studio must have been most likely at 204 (or maybe 206-210 Biscayne or a bit less than 273A NE 2ND ST). I did not find anything on both higher address areas or names and also not on the phone number of the store (372-0193). But it was not 244 Biscayne as we have thought which would be further up that block. Edited April 1, 2021 by Tom
Tom
cross-referencing from the background in scenes in Florence Italy (Jan 1986, they filmed during the Miami grand prix on Biscayne 200block) we know that this was most likely still Suzanne´s Chinese restaurant when they filmed Izzy´s photo studi there in Feb1987. Great picture comparison of this long lost building. Edited February 6, 2022 by Tom
