Christian my friend, I missed you! Welcome back! This too, is one of my favorites from the show! I'm so happy, and honored to share this with you, and everyone. If I kept these locked up in a closet all to myself, so many members would miss out on the joy of seeing these items, and it's details, so I share it with you to make you happy. I'm always looking to post things of general interest.Welcome back pal, welcome back!-COOP

oh yeah its probably the lighting then as it looks like in a few of the shots like something is casting a shadow on it or maybe the neon is on in the background and its causing the hue to go out of wack on the photos.

This may not help' date=' but here's two photos of it in the direct harsh morning sunlight. The blue looks lighter, and not darker.[/size']Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bild

yeah that does look closer to it now, it might not be a bad idea to try and find a place in the house with natural lighting for the photos from now on if its having that much of an effect. although that might make it a security issue too for you, so eh.

Damn nice shirt! It's funny about this one piece of clothing because I never would have guessed it was just a SHIRT. And yeah, the hidden button flap and covert pocket are very cool as well, something that was realy neat at the time and is still magnificent even today :thumbsup:This was one hell of a find and is something to be VERY proud of. Funny thing is this is precisely the kind of stuff I wear currently today. Apparently this is yet another one of those Vice articles of clothing that never goes out of style.Excellent acquisition, Coop. You're a lucky man and we're lucky for you to show it to us the way you have. Thanks a bunch my friend :glossy:

Well Coop, I don't know if this is any sort of consolation. But I have been keeping an eye on all the Australian fashion launches recently for spring/summer 2012 (our spring starts next month). And last night, one of our biggest department stores (like the equivalent of Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus etc) had their spring/summer fashion launch. The ambassador for this department store is Miranda Kerr (the model & wife of Orlando Bloom). She was asked what the trends are that we will be seeing this summer. And she said - PASTELS, NEONS AND...WHITE!! And already this year we've seen a lot of colour blocking, especially with the neons. It reminds me of Crockett's wardrobe, particularly his season 3 wardrobe. But even in Season 1 and 2 with the pastels, each of his clothing items were all different, random colours. I think the colour blocking trend was started on Miami Vice by Sonny Crockett!!We are mainly seeing this women's fashion, but I'm sure it will eventually catch onto mens as well. Only a few years ago, white shoes were really fashionable with men (my brother had a couple of pairs & I NEVER thought he would ever wear white shoes). But they looked great. They've gone out of fashion the past couple of years, but I reckon we'll be seeing them again this summer & hopefully white and pastel clothing as well!

Summer is in the U.S., and in a month or so, summer will be over here, so I'm looking forward to what Australia may have in store!Sure would love to have VICE style make a comeback!

Well you've seen from my pics from the UK that the 80's pastel styles are mahoosive here at the moment, they are a slightly updated less blingy version, even so I have a little smile to myself seeing 16-18 year olds dressing as I did 25+ years ago!

C&B: This recent purchase makes me think of the jacket Crockett wears in "By Hooker, By Crook" when he takes Melanie out to dinner and they have their first kiss.Do you have the jacket he uses in that scene? It's a good one, eh?

Great find Coop! I tried to comment several times in the past week, but I kept getting booted off the site. Ugh. I am glad that you shared this rare find with us. I admire your perserverance, and I hope one day I have just a tenth of the goodies that you own. :)

Man, I wish I had a shirt like this to go out on the town tonight. Next time you photograph this shirt, it's gotta be in a darker setting. Even if you just lay it over a chair, like you tossed it down as you walked by. Set the exposure time up and the ISO to a higher number 1600 or so with the neon lights on will do. But you probably know that from all those home photos you took. Make sure the camera is sitting on something to keep a crisp image. Waiting for that day. Love the shirt. On a different note, there's a cialis commercial on TV where a guy is wearing a horizontal striped shirt walking down a beach with his significant lady. Keep an eye out for a possible trend.

Are you wearing it much out ?:D

I've worn it about three times. Usually in the morning, as during the day, it's too hot to wear. It's been hanging on the "MIAMI VICE clothing rack" in my VICE collectibles room. Believe me, it's an honor to own it. I just love it.

If I can take some time, I'll be happy to do what you ask. Perhaps opening the shutter for more light for the neon will be too dark. I dunno. I want to make you happy.

Hah, good to hear. Neon color? Hmm, maybe a blueish color, as if it was off the Bernay's Cafe sign :thumbsup:Looks like in the show we only see it at night in white flood light. So If white's the only option, it'll do.Eagerly await, whenever you have the time for this

On a chair?Should the house lights be on, or off?

House lights on in another room for effect. The rest I'll leave up to your artistic discretion. Curious to see what you come up with. I've got an image in my head though, of the shirt tossed quickly over the top of a chair back, with white light from the left and neon light from the right. There's a glass dining table that the chair is pushed in under, and a gold watch and set of keys lying on it in the shadow of the chairback/shirt, but reflecting the neon on their gold/silver surfaces. Because the neon is a bluish, the dark area behind the shot is dark blue in color. Almost black because of the contrast.A little specific, but you asked
