1985 - Germany

Sandra / In The Heat Of The Night

(lyrics)

Talk to me
Want my Love
Talk to me
But not that stuff

You ain't enough
Just usin' my love
n' you call for me
'n again I see

In the heat of the night
You'll lose your heart
And sell your soul
I lose control
In the heat of the night
It's much too late
To leave the trade
But I can't stand it anymore
You'll lose your heart
And your soul
I lose control
In the heat of the night

Talk to me
Want my Love
Talk to me
But not that stuff

Who's on my side
Losin' my pride
n' you call for me
'n again I see

In the heat of the night...

In the heat of the night
You'll lose your heart
And sell your soul
I lose control
In the heat of the night
It's much too late
To leave the trade
But I can't stand it anymore
You'll lose your heart
And your soul
I lose control
In the heat of the night

Talk to me
Want my Love
Talk to me
But not that stuff

Who's on my side
Losin' my pride
n' you call for me
'n again I see

In the heat of the night...

I would not really call myself a headbanger, but my favorite band of all time is Def Leppard.  I see you include two songs by that group which I can rock on too.

You have good taste then. My two favorite bands are Def Leppard and Oasis. Vastly different but I love both equally for different reasons. Lol headbanger is a bit of a stretch since I love all kinds of music, apart from rap.

I would not remotely call rap even music.   It is pure crap to my ears.  As for what I like, I can listen to many kinds of music, as long as it makes me want to get up and dance.  That's all that really matters to me.

Rap can be melodic too in a way. Even though it of course is not actual singing, I've kind of started to look at music in a way that it has/can make and express different sounds. Just like a bird has a beautiful tune, but when you see rap as a dog barfing. Anyway... :)

I do understand why people don't like rap, as it can be perceived noisy (although certain other genres are too) and because it's not real singing, beat boxing would be in that category too. (I personally don't mind it, as long as there is some melody to it.) But the human voice consist of many different sounds, which I think we all just want to express ourselfs in many different ways. A good example of this would be the "song" "Din Da da" by George Krantz consisting of instrumental music and only human voices/sounds. Back when people were creative and experimented with music. Something I don't see today. Despite the electronic advances, ironically, maybe some will disagree.

A song that can make you dance, I'm 100% with you on that. Let's dance @Vicefan7777!!! :dance2:
