Actually they were offered in whatever color you wanted, even purple all the way back to the daytona's time period.http://www.flickr.com/photos/si558/4831518744/and I believe it was a factory offered color, although it was repainted for the show in that color, originally coming in black metalic

and note he says new paint new rubber, meaning for whatever reason OCD decided to put up for the respray!

no sorry bud i dont.one thing that really annoyed me about the european car market at the time was that they wouldnt let the TR come to the euro market with the high wing mirror, it hv to hv 2 lower down to comply with euro law. felt this really took a certain look away from itbut then that jusy my opinion micheal

Eingefügtes Bildits like a white ice in person, the same sort of sheen you get when its wet and the ice is freezing over the snow here, its just beautiful in person and I'll never forget how that thing looked.that way you get the best of both worlds, the reflective sheen and some of the same depth of the color as the black TR in her first appearance and the Daytona, but the distict miami vice look of the white TR at night

Excellent idea my man, I love the Lamborghini it looks amazing in white, only.really seen bright yellow ones.over herein the fsh. I like the idea for the indicators, and as u say sometimes even the smallest touch can gv depth and make a difference. Now is definitely not the weather for a TR as I write this post its minus 7 with over a foot of snow forecast for the next couple of days!!!Will check out the links tomorrow on my laptopCheers

thanks and I'm glad you like them man. I do have one more idea though, thing is though its not a simple turn signal switch or paint job change which is why I didnt say anything. You see when it comes to the TR for me its defining feature is the lines over the air intakes and the car personally doesnt look right to me without them.like on this one at 1:28

http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYaXpkCHdEQ

it looks cleaner but it looks like something is missing. As it seems like at the very tip of the air intakes it just seems like it doesnt quite mesh, like there's something off from the start of the lines over the intakes.http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7446&stc=1&d=1358462134http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7445&stc=1&d=1358462132http://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7447&stc=1&d=1358462135that is a behind the scenes photo of the TR by the way, probably from forgive us our debts judging by the look of the building.and you can even see the light catching it in this promo photo of the TR before its white paintjobhttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7444&stc=1&d=1358462131just by PMT's leg there, all the little tips of the lines over the air intakes are illuminated for some reasonand at 0:50 and 0:59

http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhbyNHUFJWY

yet past the start there the lines look brilliant so I was thinking what about maybe thinning the start of the lines here, like have them cut so there abit like a knife edge like herehttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7b/Microtome-knife-profile.svglike maybe reprofile the start of the lines over the air intakes to be a touch chisel shapped to reduce their starting thickness. As to alow them to flow into the body much more organically and have it look more like this from all angleshttp://www.miamiviceonline.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7443&stc=1&d=1358462129so you dont have those one or two minor angles where it looks like the lines of the air intakes are sitting ontop the body rather than being a key part of it, if that makes any sense

If I'm honest I prob wouldn't touch the air Intakes' date=' I know what you mean but changing it would just feel wrong to me :)[/quote']lol fair enough man, I had to try ya know? As I've just had that in the back of my mind since seeing it and the other revisions of the car.as it seems like they fiddled with everything else except that with the 512TREingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildand the 512MEingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildso I've always had that in the back of my mind, like why didnt they try that with it instead of removing them from the cars that had it after the TR was retired, ala the 348 to the 355 here.Eingefügtes BildEingefügtes BildEingefügtes Bildbut doing it aftermarket with an untried factory approved person also might devalue the car, so its sort of I wish I could see someone do that but I understand why it hasnt been done before kinda deal

haha no harm in asking the question. I wasnt to keen on the the 512TR but you can see the subtle changes as it began to morph into the 348 and 355. although im a porsche man at hart i adore the TR and would hv one over first before i got my 911 (when those 6 numbers come my way lol)I do like the gun metal grey F430 in the movie, love the fire from the exhausts as sonny and rico are flying after Alonso.I know it got panned by fans and critics alike but i love the filmanything Vice, is always nice IMO

plus they showed the pilot of the show as a promo for the film on NBC which is how I came across vice and got into it.although one last thing on the TR if you want to have a high A pillar mirror and a passenger side mirror that's low profile. the mirror of this custom TR pack would probably do the the trickhttp://www.koenig-specials.com/homepage%20neu/navigation%20neu%20englisch.htmhttp://www.koenig-specials.com/bilder/bilder600px/600px/ak-testarossa-bild7.jpg

- Kriss menace - voyage
- Ben Leibrand remix of Crockett's theme
- Kouros - Night chasethis one in particular I believe would be very appropriate for a fan video of Vice and the TR
- goldfrap - ride on a white horse remixdont know why it feels like the actual song starts up at about 2:30 as I dont remember it being that longalong with John Murphy's - Donzi Racehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGMpjXgzTf0Yello - Soul On Ice
yello - night train
Si Senor the Hairy Grill, which was used on vice in the castilo episode of S4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqGE5ezobuohmph hard to believe yello is still making vice like music 30 years latter!
phantastic ferrari photos Kavinsky great .this crockett and tubbs photo great my pal:):cool::clap:
thanks although I found the photo of it in black burried in the photo gallery. The behind the scenes one there of in white I think was in one of cooper and burnett's photo threads that I saved god knows how many years ago.well atleast you had a meet with a bright red ferrari to boost your mood Morgana! lol

man thats some great music!!Cant believe yello are still goin and still sound no different to when they released "the race"You could also add, most of Andy Taylors "Thunder album" of which "When the rain comes down" was used in "down for the count 2" (i think), absolutly a classic 80`s album and would grace any driving scene in Vice

my fave track off the albumhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9eAHbL7C0o

Yeah I guess yello is kind of one of the few constants of the universe now I guess lolhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnJIL-lvXnIthis one is kind of an odd one by them, something about it makes me think of it as a nice version of dont fear the reaper:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v6o_3ZTkVEkind of funny to think that the little kid in some of the videos is actually his daughter actually, dieters I mean along with Boris's wife in a few of the videos like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpbrhRTNKCwthat he is still with, so the old videos are very much a family matter I guess with both guys.but don't forget this one too

alleycat found that one, honestly I kind of got out of that band about 5 years ago but I love that song nowand its kind of funny here I havent heard anything about these guys in about 15 years either it seems.
this one I found with a fan video of it mixed to the nightchase of one of the vice episodes, sadly gone along with the one with Don Healey - sunset grill but still a great song
a fan video of THX set to Danger Bostleg Tournament
a jan hammer song that sadly wasnt used in vice but rather a film score for this film
kind of an interesting redo of a Robert Palmer song here:
this one is also I think ripe for vices era, hell its using the car from the TV show hunter actually:
this one I also really like, it seems like ActRazer is putting out some great stuff now:
gotta love that we live in an era now that wants to resurrect the 1980's music wise now, you just gotta look for it is all.

the 80`s is definitly my era, even my 14 yr old son is into it, although he loves the football of that era more than most other things. he does watch MV with me if i hv it on and was reading through some of our earlier posts asking questions about the TR tho he does know that it is my fav car of all time!I love the fact there is a sort of revival in the clothing (never went away in my eyes) and the music is starting to come through in a new generation that think the 80`s was another age in time and space lol.
