You're right, it wasn't there during most of Vice.  In the 1986 aerial the lot is empty.  This ep was filmed in March 1988 and the building was just completed in January 1988:

Very interesting indeed - of course we would have seen the building if had been there during the end scene on the Courthouse steps in “Contempt of Court” shot Summer 1987.

Cool we saw it in “A Bullet for Crockett” (1988) we didn’t again except in the far background maybe from the yard shootout by the river in the Series finale “Freefall” in April 1989.

At the train station where Sonny gets shot, there is something weird.  Most of it was filmed at Overtown Station.  We look South & Southeast and see what we expect, Dade County Courthouse and Miami Tower:

bullet2.png.da6fcb5834a7aa51c6fb9b393b40c7b4.png

But then suddenly we see two clips that make no sense:

bullet3.png.af605185a3b38bfee22eaf9b287b77ba.png

That looks like One Biscayne Tower but I'm not 100% sure:

These two clips were definitely filmed at a different station.

The One Biscayne Tower picture doesn’t make any sense with the angle of the building in relation to the train.

Right, it turns out that's not One Biscayne Tower, it's Brickell Bayview Center.  The camera is looking straight south but with a major zoom.

Interestingly on watching “Cows of October” we see a nice high zoom scan down from the Dade County Courthouse from the Miami River/ South Miami Ave bridge and this is the first time we see the newly completed Courthouse Center not in “A Bullet for Crockett” as I posted previously.  “Cows of October” was filmed up to mid November 1987 and the building opened January of 1988.

I think the hospital scenes were shot at the North Shore Medical Centre for this episode same as “Theresa”. I noticed the ceiling in some scenes is the same as we saw in Theresa. And I’m pretty sure we see this entrance when Stan and Castillo walk along a ground floor corridor. The right side of the entrance also matches up too.

Good find and I agree the Stan/Castillo walk is a perfect match.

When the helicopter arrives at the beginning, the helipad is very close to where Theresa overdoses.  The helipad is gone now but you can see it in the 1986 sat pic .

  • red X = helicopter pad
  • yellow circle = Theresa overdose

Thankyou it hit me the other evening when I watched this episode. I visited this hospital this year and went in this entrance. Castillo and Stan would have been on the ground floor with the yellow arrows to what we see behind them at the North Shore Medical Centre.

Interesting they used North Shore Medical Center again for the hospital scenes.

Sets were used from “Lombard” in Season 1 through to “Baby Blues” in Season 3. Then they started using real locations for hospitals with the exception of “Prodigal Son” and “Yankee Dollar”.

Prodigal Son & Yankee Dollar - Jackson Memorial Hospital, Civic Centre.

Theresa / A Bullet for Crockett - North Shore Medical Center, West of Miami Shores.

Knock Knock Who’s There..? - Miami Children’s Hospital, South Miami.

Everybody’s in Showbiz/ Amen...Send Money /Season 5, Line of Fire and Miami Squeeze - Mount Senai Hospital, Miami Beach.

There were other episodes such as “Mirror Image” which had other buildings used as a hospital/ medical centre in this instance The Edward Apartments in Miami Beach.

LOL, I was not aware that @Matt5 and @airtommy already found the hospital last year!

I just noticed that this location was marked as "unknown" on @C Glide´s location site and wanted to fill the gap&solve, but you stole my thunder (shame on me that I have not visited this episode´s thread here for a very long time, but that has to do with that episode :D!)

Anyway, I have some interesting pictures to add to show the full match between "Theresa" and "Bullet for Crockett" and the great job you guys have done already.

The building behind Stan&Castillo is the backside of the mainbuilding and the entrance of the Inpatient Hospice today.

North Shore Medical Center, 1190 NW 95 Street

close to studio

P.S. this episode had only 4 shooting days  28-31 March 1988, last filming for season 4 (probably 2 days at the hospital as many scenes play there, 1 at NW20/Downtown Department of Waste and car chase to Overtown station in teaser, 1 max at Opa Locka airport). All other scenes were re-used from other episodes as we all know.

How do you know that they used Mount Sinai in Miami Squeeze? That’s an unidentified Hospital location and I am just hunting for it (see my considerations in the Miami Squeeze Thread). Did I miss something here?
