On the surveillance video of the scene Castillo recognizes an old acquaintance - Jack Kretsky, CIA-Agent and husband of a former Russian KGB agent. Castillo's CIA-contacts think Kretsky defected and want him dead. When Castillo finds him, Kretsky asks Castillo to protect his family. Shortly after, Kretsky pulls a gun and forces Castillo to kill him. Thus, Castillo fulfils the wish of his dead friend and gets Kretsky's Wife and Son in police custody on the Florida Keys. But the KGB is already on their heels... Eine Undercoveraktion von VICE geht schief. Auf dem Überwachungsvideo erkennt Castillo einen alten Bekannten: Jack Kretsky, CIA-Agent und Ehemann einer russischen Agentin. Castillos CIA-Kontakt meint, Kretsky sei zu den Russen übergelaufen und müsse liquidiert werden. Als Castillo Kretsky findet, bittet ihn dieser sich um seinen Sohn Marty und seine Frau Lara zu kümmern. Kurz darauf zückt Kretsky eine Waffe und zwingt Castillo so dazu, ihn zu erschießen. Daraufhin erfüllt Castillo den Wunsch seines toten Freundes und bringt Lara und Marty auf die Florida Keys in Sicherheit. Aber der KGB ist bereits hinter ihnen her... W. 72nd Avenue (house with the palm alley at the end, das Haus mit der Palmenallee am Schluss der Folge) My Assessment: Wertung: Like other Castillo-episodes much above average! Ingenious is already the teaser with the Ferry, Bryan song, after that we see a lot of twisted intelligence business and good action scenes shown on well chosen locations. This episode is top of the pops despite a few intelligence clichés and minor logical mistakes. EJO did a great directing job here! Wie alle Castillo-Folgen weit über dem Schnitt. Genial ist schon der Teaser mit dem Bryan Ferry Song, danach kommt viel Spannung und man lernt Castillo noch besser kennen. Auch sehr gut gewählte Locations und Actionsequenzen.
