Crockett and Tubbs witness as Florence Italy, a 17 year old prostitute is pushed dead out of a white Lotus: The owner of the car, the racer Tepper, contends, not to have driven the car in the night in question. As they have no hard evidence, Crockett and Tubbs pose as rich race sponsors at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, Tepper is participating. There they find out that one of the drivers has a preference for violence on women. But the only witness is too scared to talk...

Crockett und Tubbs werden zufällig Zeugen, als Florence Italy, eine 17-jährige Prostituierte tot aus einem weißen Porsche 906 geworfen wird. Der Besitzer des Wagens, der Rennfahrer Danny Tepper, behauptet, das Auto am fraglichen Abend nicht gefahren zu haben. Da sie Tepper nichts nachweisen können, treten sie beim Miami Grand Prix, an dem Tepper teilnimmt, als reiche Sponsoren auf. Dort kommen sie dahinter, daß einer aus dem engsten Umkreis der Fahrer eine Vorliebe für Gewalt an Frauen hat. Aber die einzige Zeugin hat zuviel Angst um auszusagen...

My Assessment:

Wertung:

3 stars for the story, but 4 for the great background with the Miami Grand Prix (the sound recordings were costly completed afterwards in the Arizona desert). Good episode, but not extraordinary!

Für die Story gäbe es 3, für die tolle und schwierige Kulisse des Miami Grand Prix (die Tonaufnahmen der Autos wurden sehr aufwendig in der Wüste nachgeholt) aber 4 Sterne. Gute Folge, aber nichts Herausragendes.
