Yes Tom thats what I thought - it looks more upmarket than The Palace where they filmed the other scenes at 1200 Ocean Dr. The circular chairs are gone but it looks like The Cardozo could be quite a positive match. I was at this location recently and recognised it . Great Jeremy - I thought that was the Cardozo in the restaurant scene .If you don't mind I visted the Ne159th St, North Miami - end truck/silos scene last year and the El Gato residence this year ( lightkeepers house at Bill Bagga) and have posted photos below. I like your pictures but The light house keepers house is a picture I took. It is not from the internet. Most of the pictures I use I took myself or get from Google streetview..The oil tank location I did not have your picture but as nice as it is it is a little off for a recreation shot. The google street view shots I have are more accurate. I will happily incorporate more of your shots as I can if I don't have my own. airtommy Posted April 18, 2019 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 (edited) Early in this episode, Burnett is interfering with El Gato's operations and we see a plane drop load of drugs for pickup. This has been identified as the northern part Virginia Key. I think I've pinpointed the exact spot. red = drug drop green = line of young trees blue = sandy triangle I zoomed in on the sat pic and turned it upside down so it's easier to compare. Tom Posted May 21, 2020 Report Share Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) NEW LOCATION FOUND: BURNETT´S HOUSE The Calling all Detectives Location Thread paid off (all details about how we found it is there to read). Another mystery solved in one day of focused team effort after years of fruitless searching! 6 eyes are better than 2! Main credit goes to Lead Detective @daytona365 who was convinced at first and had a suspected address incl. great sketch plus persistency, with some assistant Dr. Watson job done by @C Glide and me to verify although we were non-believers at first and had originally dumped that house. Thanks to the team, this case was fun to solve and had some lessons learned for me as well (I overlooked some very important details in my location sketch, but the team-members did luckily not and convinced me to look again!) 710 Harbor Drive, Key Biscayne Main clues to find it was the location (long island, waterway, tip of land) and the specifics of the house (octangular structure, of building and pool, hottub, columns, spiral staircase). Proof pics summary is below. Unfortunately, there are no interior pics available. The house was re-erected 1987 (the original house of 1969 was torn down or completely remodeled) and has been extended/remodeled after 1988 when MV filmed there. ENJOY! Tom Posted February 22, 2021 Report Share Posted February 22, 2021 The explosion aftermath/doctor´s scene most likely also filmed at 1390 Ocean Drive, where the Mappy restaurant was. It is an apartment building today with many apartment for sale/rent with interior pics. No clear proof for that location, but the window size and shape, distance to the corners fits plus there is a similar double/triple corner in most rooms in that building, similar to the one we see in the corner behind Crockett. The Cardozo at 1300 Ocean that was the only other Ocean Drive building used as location in this episode has totally different window shapes/sizes and can be ruled out. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
