Oh that was him? Nice find! It was season 7, right? 

Season 6 episode 17 called "Trevor" John does an excellent job, I didn't particularly like season 6, but this is definitely one of the better episodes in that season,  its very good. 

Right, it's been a while since I watched it. In season 6 they moved from Vancouver to California, so the classic spooky atmosphere disappeared. Still better than any later season, in my opinion. Chris Carter just fucked it up afterwards and the alien mythology plot became totally ridiculous.

The Samantha saga went on too long, they just were making it up as they went along, I believe the case on his sister was solved in "Paper Hearts"
