James Russo, on the left appeared in the show as Frank Sacco, drug dealer who Valerie Gordon is working (and sleeping) with, later killed by Tubbs in the episode "The Prodigal Son".

Michael Madsen appeared in the show as Sally Alvarado, head of a drug and prostitution ring (along with Lupo Ramirez, played by Burt Young) in the episode "Give a Little, Take a Little".

I saw this in an empty theater in the 90s.  It was a good experience.  Russo was going to be the original Jimmy Jump (Fishburne's part) in Abel Ferrara's King of New York.  How different things could have been.

Very good film, why didn't Russo get the part?

Apparently Fishburne lobbied heavily for the part and convinced Ferrara to audition him (he was originally cast for Snipes' role).  Ferrara was so impressed by his take on the character that he gave the role to him.  It is indeed one of Fish's best roles.
