S.FL84 344 Posted February 8, 2019 Report Share If you look closely you can see the aging Don Johnson underwent from episode #1 to the this pic. He also had quit drinking, using drugs and smoking...supposedly. Both the relentless shooting schedule and his body detoxing all those chemicals are IMO really evident his face here. Months and months of 3-4 hours sleep per night done chronically will age the sh$3 outta anyone. Add to all this the stress of being "Sonny Crockett" 24//7 from 1984 - 90 is why DJ looks as old as he does now, even w/ the money he has. Quote Link to comment
mjcmmv 2,172 Posted April 3, 2019 Report Share You think he looks old here? Not sure I agree with you. I loved his expression and his eyes are bright and alert. And it has been several years since Season 1, so everyone adds some "character lines" with time. To me, in this picture, he's the same scruffy, devil-may-care character he always was. Hmm. Guess I need to get those blinders off! LOL! Love your input, though. Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment

Well, that and the time that passed between the pilot and end of S5 of course contributed to DJ aging. Same for PMT. Quote Link to comment

Mind you...supposed to have stopped smoking...in several films he made right after MV ended, he was smoking all the time, so if he did stop permanently, it wasn't during the 1980s. I think it's something that ages the skin a lot and I might add, ruins the teeth. I wonder about his sometimes, looked awful in some interview he did not long after MV presumably (as still boat-racing) but much improved at a later date. Quote Link to comment
