Just my opinion but it looks much better in Black, more cool.

I agree. But they painted it white because of how camera technology was back then, in the night scenes you could barely see the Daytona, so they wanted a white car so it's more visible, to contrast.

Maybe it as just me but I could clearly see the Daytona at night, I had no problem with it, in the new 2006 movie the car is Black as well.

It was a dark grey wasn’t it in the 2006 movie?
