I think the way Sonny reacts to his death in "The Good Collar" compared to Eddie's shows us that he has had enough of seeing these, not all together innocent but harmless young guys die, I mean when Eddie dies he sits and sobs and in an very emotionally but with Archie's death he explodes angrily. summer84 2,000 Posted March 28, 2019 Report Share Very heartbreaking scene and understandably strong reaction by Crockett, when he founds out Archie is dead. You could really feel his pain and helplessness in this tragic event. 2 Quote Link to comment
Robbie C. 3,195 Posted March 28, 2019 Report Share I think he bonded more with Archie based on the football background as well. Eddie he could write off as a stupid kid trying to make a buck, but Archie hit closer to home for him. 2 Quote Link to comment

I do think that Sonny cared for Eddie though, you could see it in that scene when Eddie called out saying he just wanted to go home, I do agree it hit home more with Archie, but still it felt to me that Sonny had enough of these tragic situations, like enough is enough. 1 Quote Link to comment

In Milk Run, Sonny had helped set up the sting, using the two boys as bait, all the while telling them it was the only way for them to get off the hook for trying to sell drugs. When Eddie died, more than anything, I think Crockett was drowning in guilt. 1 Quote Link to comment
