mjcmmv 2,172 Posted April 28, 2019 Report Share I just saw this episode and I absolutely loved this scene! Poor Stan was a mess! If I recall correctly, I don't think he ever did beat the gambling addiction on the show. Quote Link to comment
RedDragon86 5,973 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) Report Share I watched it last night and I agree it is a very touching scene. This is an excellent episode, I think its better than "Killshot" which has a similar story. Edited April 28, 2019 by RedDragon86 1 Quote Link to comment
Robbie C. 3,195 Posted April 29, 2019 Report Share They sort of abandoned Stan's gambling, like they did so much with many story lines in Vice (sadly). 1 Quote Link to comment

It was a shame they didn't expand on it, all they had to from time to time was hint that he was still gambling, like if the team were all going out for a meal at night and someone had mentioned that Stan couldn't make it as he was going to a ball game instead. Implications of it would have been good enough. I watch CSI Las Vegas now and then and there is a character in it who has a serious gambling problem (Warrick Brown) and he almost lost his job because of it, he got his act together but you could sense that he was still gambling as the seasons went on. They could have done a lot with it, actually. Like so many other plot lines. But it just never happened. That to me is one of the sad points about Vice. 2 Quote Link to comment

Matt5 6,985 Posted May 1, 2019 Report Share I Love this scene - the dialogue , Tim Truman’s score - Sonny is great here. “Hell we’re you’re partners Stan”. 2 Quote Link to comment
