I've always heard he decided to leave, but they were also looking at cutbacks. In other words, I suspect if they'd offered him more do to he might have stayed, but they didn't so he left. Either way it was a loss to the show. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
miamijimf 3,196 Posted May 23, 2019 Report Share During an interview he said he wasn't satisfied with his screen time and wanted to explore other acting opportunities. I have the movie on DVD. Brutal but good movie. 1 Quote Link to comment

Miami Blues starring Alec Baldwin, Fred Ward, and Jennifer Jason Leigh (released April 20, 1990). When Fred Frenger a.k.a. Junior (played by Alec Baldwin) gets out of prison he starts a violent one-man crime wave in Miami. He soon meets up with amiable and slow witted college student/prostitute Susie Waggoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Opposing Frenger is Sgt. Hoke Moseley (Fred Ward), a cop who is getting a bit old for the job but manages to eventually track down Frenger who is badly wounded. 1 Quote Link to comment
