Castillo and Crockett team up in "Home Invaders"

Yeah, that's it exactly! Crockett is trying to defend a former boss and friend and Castillo is saying, "This investigation is a mess. Drive on, already!" LOL!!

That entire episode is so well-written and -performed. Every character is really showing out. Also, it says something about DJ and EJO that the episode is one of the strongest of the entire series despite being without one of the main stars. Tubbs had broken his arm or something in real life, right?

EJO in my view was a standout in any episode that featured him. He never went through the motions. He gave Castillo everything he had, and it showed.

This is Sonny trying to juggle two male influences in his life. It's like having your dad and uncle fighting. He tries to get each one to see the positive things in the other that he sees, while at the same time realizing that Castillo has a legit gripe. But he doesn't actually let Castillo know that.
